I made an appt for my husband after ER visit in 2021 well after covid exposure. He was basically told to get out! He was at their office too soon and they were very unprofessional! Made appt same day and was seen by another urologist in nsshville. Rude staff and horroble partner to this doctor.

Above and beyond
I had seen Dr Yarlagadda for kidney stones and was very pleased with his care. I am an OR nurse with over 40 years experience so I know. At this time I was admitted to the local hospital with unfocused chest pain. I had gastrointestinal issues in the past so the ER doctors were waiting for a consult with a Gastroenterologist and treating me for an ulcer when no one was available. My daughter was very concerned because their treatment didn’t provide an decrease in pain and tried to call the 2 Gastroenterologists in town herself. When neither one called her back she tried my PCP again without response. Desperate she called Dr Yarlagadda who returned the call almost immediately. Even though this wasn’t a “kidney issue “ he spoke with the ER doctors then not satisfied called Vanderbilt and had me transferred where I was diagnosed with a heart problem resulting from low potassium. Dr Yarlagadda didn’t have to get involved but he did because he treats the whole patient

Left Me Hanging
I had been a patient with Dr. Vito for around 2-3 years. He was a super nice & compassionate Dr in the beginning, but things changed. I’ve got several bladders stone & have been waiting for over 3 weeks to b scheduled for surgery. Now I’m being told since I have other health issues, they want to refer me to Vanderbilt. I’m disabled & going to Vanderbilt would b difficult Bc if no ride there. I’ve got to get these stones out before this infection gets worse. I will have yo now find another surgeon to remove these stones. Pitiful medical mess.??

I was elated with Dr. Yarlagadda's relaxed manner and interest in me as first a person then a patient. After asking why I was there, he asked what I did for a living. Discovering I had been a Quality Engineer he backed up his responses with probabilities. I asked if any of the conditions I had and would be treated for would require overnight hospitalization. He could have answered "no" or it's very unlikely. Instead he told me about a patient who underwent a radical 6 hour prostate operation and was sent home the same day. We agreed that hospitals can be dangerous places. If I am seriously ill I am going to a hospital. If not I will avoid them. Dr. Y. has not performed any procedures. He did explain in detail the tests he ordered and the reason for those tests.
