Dr. Viengxay Malavong, DO

Does not listen to patient concerns and office staff is lazy and incompetent. They never answer the phones and good luck on getting a call back to get lab results or getting a prescription filled. Very money hungry and billing is always wrong.

He is in align with my preferred medical treatment. Eastern with some Western. He listens to you and is understanding and compassionate.

Viengxay Malavong (Stopwatch Urgent Care in Opelika) is the worst doctor my son and I have ever experienced. This was our first time meeting him and it will be the last. He is awful, unprofessional, nonchalant, rude, and he is a liar. I literally thought someone had snuck in off the street to pose as a doctor. The nurse recognized my frustration with his unkind actions and was able to assist me and my child. If you don't want to deal with the public...quit.

I'm a senior citizen and find Dr. Malavong very easy to get along with and he will work within your limitations to get to the bottom of your medical problems. He also has a great sense of humor.

Dr. V. Malavong is a true HEALER and cares deeply about his patients. He's been my physician for over a year. He provides a safe, understanding, sympathetic practice, and always accompanies his diagnosis with standard treatment suggestions in addition to homeopathic recommendations. He is the first Dr. I've ever had that concentrates on wellness of the mind, body, and soul. Dr. M is by far the best doctor I've known in my 64 years and nothing I can say really does justice to the man.

Dr Malavong has provided me with the best medical care I have ever received. His knowledge is thorough and his concern and compassion are genuine. His greatest qualities are his willingness to spend as much time and effort as necessary to figure out the more complex and difficult problems and his philosophy of helping the patient understand the underlying causes including lifestyle and diet. Not content to just treat your symptoms he wants to help you become healthier in a fundamental way.

My daughter has been suffering with a voluminous list of health problems. Dr. Malavong saw her and spent almost two hours with her going over labs and her medical history. His bedside manner was exceptional and reassured my extremely distressed daughter, who is away from home at college, that the course of treatment he was prescribing would get her back on the road to recovery. I cannot thank Dr. Malavong and his sweet staff enough for their kindness and superb care!! I highly recommend him!!!
