Knowledgeable, Trusted & Caring -Great Staff!
I have been going to Dr Balakrishanan for quite a while now... I don't feel rushed, he asks how you are doing and really listens to you. He explains things in a easy to understand way. Together you make a plan to get your levels under control. His staff is very caring and helpful always following up on appointments and reminders they are great. Much better doctor than the doctor I used to go to --Really glad a switched to Dr. Balakrishnan.

Terrible. I would never go back to him, he was very dismissive. Didn't care for my symptoms at all. As soon as I started talking about them, he found the smallest details to focus on and refused to discuss my problem. Maybe he had a bad day. I would never recommend.

Hello everyone I would like to tell you I visited this doctor for the first time a few weeks ago traveling from Atlantic City to Somers Point to see him and he was well worth it he's very fair and knows his work there just was a complication with insurance coverage and increasing my diabetes medication but with help with his team there's a girl named Rachel that led me to the right person that does pas her name is Gina she works in the shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point she spoke to the insurance and they approved my medication for diabetes she was very patient understanding and professional and easy to talk to all his team was wonderful Rachel was as well and yes I think I would recommend them to anyone him and his team is great!

I have MANY health issue in addition to type 2 diabetes and thyroid. Dr. Vijay manages to balance all my medications to keep me the healthiest I've ever been. I have never had to wait an extended time and his staff are pleasant and professional.

IF you can get in to see him, you may like him. I found he was good at knowing me and my situation. BUT, be prepared to spend the day. I always got one of the first two appointments in the morning and NEVER got in less than an hour after my appointment. I saw him every three months for a year and couldn't take it any longer. My time is as valuable to me as his time is to him and if he can't get in on time and thinks it is okay to keep me waiting without excuse, then I can find another Dr.
