Won't Find a Better Doctor
I've seen Dr. Thangamani several times over the years and I could not recommend him higher. I always feel very welcome when I visit his office for what ever pains me. He is easy to talk to and explains things in a very straightforward way. What is so comforting is that for all the things I've seen Dr. Thangamani for over the years, he only has suggested surgery after every other option has been tried (that's not very common for an orthopedic doctor). If you have an issue with a hip, knee, shoulder or any other body part I would highly recommend you making an appointment with Dr. Thangamani.

I would NOT recommend seeing him if you want a doctor who cares. First, I cannot tell you how painful the cortisone shot was and I have a very high tolerance for pain. I got a 2nd opinion and was told that should NOT have happened. He does not take the time to answer your questions. He was at the door and walking out as I was asking him a question. When I asked him about the number of surgeries he's performed similar to mine, he said 'it doesn't matter, even an idiot could do this surgery.

I have issues with my back for ten years now and he made me feel like I was lying about the pain my issues cause me. The first doctor I seen looked at my X Ray's and noticed narrowing and Arthritis in my lower back. I have had two herniated discs and been to the emergency room 6 times in three years, but when Dr Thangamani looked at my X Ray's he said he didn't see why I was in so much pain and if somebody looked at my x-rays they would say I was lying. Wow, that made me feel horrible.
