Dr. Vijaya Ramesh, MD

Dr Ramesh has been helping me through some very difficult times, through in-patient and out-patient care. She has always been very understanding, listens well, and I genuinely feel that she cared about my well-being. She is not currently my primary Psychiatrist, but I plan to move to her practice if my insurance is accepted. She knows a lot about mental health, and takes the time to talk to the patient. I highly recommend.

She is a fantastic doctor, someone I really respect and highly recommend!

Dr. Ramesh is wonderful. Super compassionate. Most psychiatrists have limited people skills and seem to lack empathy. Dr. Ramesh has a huge heart and truly wants the best for you. She listens to input and doesn't force treatments or drugs you arent comfortable with. Couldn't ask for a better Dr. There can be long waits but there is a shortage of psychiatrists especially female ones and if you have to wait its because she took the time to help someone in a crisis. Exactly the type of Dr I want!

Dr. Ramesh is absolutely amazing. I was nervous about my first visit because I have something that most people don't but she made me feel so welcome and respected.

I thought she was incredible judgemental, disrespectful, and arrogant. She was fine until I said I use medical marijuana for my PTSD (I went to her for a different issue, NOT sub abuse). She entire demeanor immediately changed and she became combative and defensive. I tried to calmly argue with her, but she just threw her accreditations in my face. One of the worst psychiatrists I have ever had to displeasure to meet with. I walked out of the appointment and wouldn't recommend her to anyone!

I have been a patient of Dr. Ramesh for 3 1/2 yrs after admission to hospital. She is a very lovely lady who is compassionate, understanding, patient, knowledgeable, kind, caring, always comfortable, easy to talk to. She has been a gem, my savior. I would highly recommend.

No option for less than 1 star. While I am still trying to learn on what grounds can a hospital's specialty physician refuse treatment, I will let you be the judge of her professional behaviour. After my son was admitted to the ER and evaluated by the doctor on-call that the admission to the hospital was necessary, according to the social worker, Dr.Ramesh is refusing to admit my son to the psychiatric unit because "he has a different behaviour than her other patients" (?!).

She is the most insensitive judgemental doctor I've ever had the displease of knowing . She is trained in addiction but treats her co occouring disorder patients extremely rude. She already has her mind made up about addicts before you walk in the door . So if your co occouring don't bother with this wanna be power hungry witch.
