Dr. Vikram Malladi, MD

Horrible experience with Marin Gastro and Dr. Vikram Malladi. Misdiagnosed twice with a serious diagnosis. The first time it was based off a single lab value and Dr Malladi informed me of this serious diagnosis while still sedated, just waking up from colonoscopy (which was unrelated). Rather than retest was I required to get invasive biopsy that refuted the serious diagnosis. Dr Malladi was rude and lacked empathy about my anxiety regarding the diagnosis and was defensive about the misinterpretation afterwords. The second time he misread a MRI and used a different position on the image to do a size comparison, leading him to believe a legion was growing in size. If he had measured from the same place on both reports it would have showed that this was a mistake. This mistake required me to go for additional imaging where both the radiologist and an independent Gastro again refuted his interpretation. After I tried to change Gastro providers at the office but they refused to let me switch providers saying it’s not their policy. Stay away from Marin Gastro. Even if it’s less convenient it’ll save you in the long run!

This office visit was very belittling for both me and my dad. He looked annoyed with our questions and was extremely passive aggressive. Will definitely not return and I do not recommend.

Dr. Malladi is caring, compassionate, thorough, and highly skilled. He has been an important force for good and well-being in my life.

I've had nothing but bad experiences in Dr. Malladi's care. He is a competent doctor but his bedside manner is abhorrent. He's condescending. He doesn't listen. He's rude. He's passive aggressive. He is closed minded and refuses to think about the way the body functions as a whole, and instead treats the symptoms. In my case, with no luck. He might be a great doctor for someone with a cookie cutter case but he has no idea how to think outside the box.

Dr. Malladi has helped me with digestive problems, and has performed two colonoscopies. He has also helped me with my esophogus issues as well and has performed three upper endoscopies on me in the past 3 years. In the office, he keeps me on track with the treatment I need to do. He’s smart, professional and calm. I trust him. Without Dr. Malladi, I would be very sick. With Dr. Malladi, I function pretty well in life.

Very professional in every way. Compassionate, intelligent, takes the time to listen. I would not hesitate to refer him to a family member.

If you are currently using medical cannabis, this doctor is more interested in putting your symptoms on it instead of actually trying to help you. He only believes in western drugs (Lialda, his office is sponsored). I wanted to switch to a new med but was worried about side effects, immediately told me that my information was wrong and assumed I had gotten false information from a forum. Used abuse tactic in most recent appointment over provider care, left feeling shaky and scared.

Outstanding experience. AS a physician myself, the BEST compliment is to have other physicians in your area come to see you. DR Malladi is amazing and I cannot rec him and his staff highly enough.

Dr. Malladi is amazing. He is professional, smart and very experienced doctor. He has such professional competence that I am sure he has won so much respect from patients.
