Dr Avizonis was thorough, kind and spent whatever time was needed at each of my appointments. Radiation procedures were explained in detail. She always called immediately after any tests were done (MRI, CT, biopsy).

Dr Avizonis led me to believe radiation would eliminate any cancer cells remaining from surgery. When a follow up mammogram (per her instructions) indicated there was concern (she said should have been an MRI which I then did) she would call me if it did not come back clean.I NEVER HEARD A WORD FROM HER REGARDING THE RESULTS. Got a second opinion which called for another biopsy, ultimately did bilateral mastectomy. The surgery was grueling but nothing in comparison to having a doctor not care.
