Outstanding Care
Three in our family have been served by Dr. Jayanthi for many years. One of us is 94 years old! We have always felt that Dr. Jayanthi stands out in her excellence and intelligence. Her curiosity and commitment manifested in taking the trouble to go the extra yard to discover and solve our diverse and multiple health challenges. She is one of a kind. Exemplary in spanning prevention to cure.

I came in for a primary care visit for the first time in years with specific concerns. She was an hour late to our in person appointment. When going over my concerns, she told me to sleep more and go to bed at 9pm and wake up at 5am (generic advice she gives to everyone). When trying to prescribe me a sleep aid used to treat depression, I asked if it was a SSRI, to which she responded “why are you asking that.” She did not address my concerns and instead told me to workout (I weight lift five times a week) by doing 25x25 leg lifts each morning (that’s 625 leg lifts for one work out ??) and to lift 2lb weights for 10 minutes. And all of that is generic advice she gives to all patients. Completely not related in any way to my concerns, dismissive of my questions about my health and what she may be prescribing me, and rushed in and out of the appointment even though she made me wait for a full hour. This is the most absurd medical appointment I’ve ever had.

Unprofessional, old-school doctor
I have been seeing Dr. Jayanthi for several years and finally decided to switch to a different PCP. Dr. Jayanthi consistently offers old-school medical, nutritional, and "lifestyle" advice without asking any questions first (I already do most of her "lifestyle" recommendations like working out and meditating, but she didn't bother to ask). A few years ago, I wanted to stop taking a medication, which she said was fine but she had been planning to increase my dose without even asking me. Most recently, she was 30 minutes late to a virtual appointment with no communication and barely an apology. She's unprofessional and doesn't take time to listen to her patients.

She appears to be wishing she was doing something else somewhere else. She is not a good listener and is far from thorough.

This doctor has no bed-side manner, rude and impatient. Will make sure never to see her again!

I went to Dr. Jayanthi for an annual physical, which I have not had in years. I had several questions/concerns to bring up, including a recent rapid weight gain. She did not read my intake form nor listen to anything I said. She told me to "stop eating fried foods and drinking soda" re the weight gain - not even asking whether I do those things! (I don't.) She did not address any of my other concerns either and then rushed out of the door. I will not be returning.

She was not a very good listener - she didn't read my intake form or listen when I explained things to her, she only responded with advice irrelevant to my situation. Will not return to her.
