His staff is incompetent
e he is probably a good surgeon, his staff is incompetent. Worst office staff and nurse possible. Receptionist was a snarky witch. Nurse that returned my call gave complete different instructions than the doctor did a week ago. I asked about insurance papers that I needed returned to me for an appeal and she said she can't handle that. Then she hung up. AWFUL!!! Also they were to schedule the cholangiogram for this week and they dropped the ball on that. Now a 90 yo man has to wait another 5 weeks to get this done and get rid of the bag. Talk to your staff Dr Narciso!!

Can't seem to stay with 1 group for very long. Also curious that he has to work for 2 different groups now!?! Tried to sell me elective surgery so that I would have had to pay cash for my umbilical hernia repair. The hospital he chose for my surgery appeared to have no idea how to do same day surgery. I was dumped out the door about 5 pm, with a blood pressure so low I could barely stand up. Postop instructions had wrong medication instructions. Never saw the man after my surgery. Had a postop visit with some NP/PA that did not appear to understand what went wrong at the hospital that day. Won't be returning to him, and certainly will not refer patients to him.

Needs improvement
I have had 5 surgeries in my life and this was the worst experience I ever had. He tried to up-sell me on procedures at the only visit I had to his office, when all I really needed and wanted was my umbilical hernia repaired. Hospital my surgery was done at had amazingly poor anesthesia and postop recovery care. I should not have been allowed to leave for about 2 days, instead of being pushed out the door at 5 pm. I should have created a very nice black mark on his reputation by returning to the hospital that night or the next morning because my blood pressure was so low I was still very dizzy, and really not safe to be at home. Never saw him after the surgery. Had postop appointment with an NP or PA. No one really cared about the bad care I received. When I had car problems no telemed visit was offered. And now, about 18 months after surgery, my umbilical hernia is returning. Wonder why he is working for 2 entirely different groups of surgeons. That is highly atypical.

The best surgeon I have ever had. Thorough, patient, compassionate and he remembers well our initial conversation in May, 2020 until my laparoscopic hernia repair in Nov.

Dr. Narciso is the best Doctor I have ever had. He is very thorough and has patience to talk with you no matter how long it takes. He makes you feel comfortable and explains things to where you understand everything that is going on. I lost 125 lbs. My surgery was in Jan. 27, 2014 and I have maintained my weight ever since. Best surgeon I have ever had and he also took care of me when I had Inguinal Hernia surgery. anything from your waist up he will take care of. Sharon Shotton in Overland Park, Ks. June 18, 2020

Dr. Narciso is one of the most incredible doctors I have ever had and I haven’t had many! He is so professional and humbly amazing at what he does. He has compassion for his patients and treats them as though they are his only patient. Dr. Narciso performed my gastric sleeve surgery on July 25, 2019 and done an awesome job. I had NO surgical issues and healed quite nicely. His staff is amazing and they are understanding to every need. Tameka who is Dr. Narciso right hand cares about each patient and wants you to succeed just as much as you want too. She makes sure you stay on task and is stern but empathetic to your situation! NO one in Dr. Narciso’s office including him ever makes you feel FAT!!! Thank you to Dr. Narciso and his staff for an outstanding team and job well done! - Shonetta

Dr. Narciso was a second opinion. He listened, pinpointed the problem and took care of it. The surgery went exactly as he said it would. I could not have had a better experience.

Dr. Narciso is very knowledgable and we particularly appreciated his explanation before surgery telling us exactly what was wrong, what he would do, and risks involved. He's kind and understanding. He is an excellent surgeon and one that my husband and I would want to be our surgeon again if ever needed.
