NOT SAFE for autistics, hEDS, or rare diseases
My 1st and only appointment with her lasted no more than 5 minutes, and I left in tears. Her listening skills are atrocious, and her ego is severely fragile. She was rude, callous, and accused me of trying to belittle her (projecting her own behaviors onto me) simply for trying to protect myself from potentially harmful treatment and explain something she obviously didn't already understand. She clearly does NOT understand hypermobility or the reality that rare disease patients and hypermobile patients aren't going to fit nicely into all the standards and protocols in place OR that we complex patients might actually know what we're talking about. She's also dangerously ignorant of how autistic communication can differ from her expectations and had zero interest in trying to learn or understand better ANYTHING I tried to share with her. Do not waste your resources on her if you're even remotely a 'complex' or neurodivergent patient.
