Dr. Vishal Jain, MD
After moving into the Brick area, I had a gall bladder attack. I needed a GI doctor, and had heard good things about Dr. Jain. He was very knowledgeable, and told me what was needed to be done. After the surgery, I knew that I was due for a prophylactic colonoscopy this year and went to Dr. Jain. I had the procedure done at Shore Outpatient Surgicenter, LLC in Lakewood. This was the best experience I've had in all the colonoscopies I've experienced.

I saw this Dr. Vishal Jain in March of 2021. I had come in for a hernia that was causing issues and to discuss long term G.I. issues which affect my daily life. He couldn't find the hernia in his exam and doubted out loud that I even had one. (I have imaging proof). He refused to discuss the hernia any further, given that he didn't see any issues there (had not seen imaging even, which includes two MRIs and an ultrasound showing the hernia) and refused to discuss my other long standing G.I. health issues until after he could do a colonoscopy -- which I couldn't do because of the hernia! He scheduled one, WHICH I HAD TO CANCEL BECAUSE I HAD TO HAVE HERNIA SURGERY LESS THAN A MONTH AFTER SEEING HIM. He clearly missed the urgency of my hernia and refused to discuss anything else, even though the appointment was for a general history of issues too. His bedside manner is seriously lacking and he rushed me out of the appointment in only 10 minutes. I would never return to Dr. Jain

Dr Jain is personable, pleasant, has professional expertise and is well informed about his field. He has the skill, ability and experience to treat a patient, or refer one to a specialist (he knows his strengths/weaknesses; and communicates very well. He is empathic and caring. I've been dealing with a lot of stomach issues over the past year. Dr. Jain has been very good with his treatment, however, I still suffer with stomach pain. I have a standing 3 month visit in 2 months. More often than not, I have horrible pain after eating. When I called to get in to see Dr. Jain, even after saying that I was having a lot of pain, the soonest appointment I could get was 3 WEEKS. My alternative,I was told, go to the emergency room.
