Dr. Vito Carabetta, MD

I did not know what to expect when I went to Dr. Carabetta for nerve testing associated with hand and finger numbness. He asked questions, listened to my answers, related to my concerns, explained what he was doing and why, and he impressed me as exceptionally qualified and experienced in his specialty. I highly recommend him.

DR. Carabetta performed a nerve conduction test on me and found out that I had moderate to severe neuropathy in my feet. During the test he not only explained each step that he perfrormed, but he greatly increased my knowlege about peripheral neuropathy in general. He was extremely concerned about my condition and very personable. After the test, he took the time to answer all of my questions, including just how HE would treat my neuropathy, and how my family practicioner should with me to get me the relief that I needed. He told me that if my doctor did not proceed in the manner that he had informed me about, he should refer me to a neurologist for further treatment. I would have liked for Dr. Carabetta to have begun to treat me right then and there, but I need to work with my doctor in order to be covered by my insurance. If I can't get relief in this manner, I will pay out of my own pocket to be treated by Dr. Carabetta if he will take me on as a patient. He is excellent.

He is very thorough. The appointment lasted 1 hour with all kinds of questions and physical testing. I had a pain in my side for a year and he found the cause in an hour. Wish I would have seen him sooner.

questionable ethics and motives - treated me with respect and appeared to listen to my concerns when I presented in professional work attire, but when I presented on a day I was working in my yard and dressed accordingly, he discounted my concerns, displayed child-like behavior, and generally behaved in a way not suitable for taking care of animals, much less people suffering from pain
