Rude and gave no information
I've never really left reviews for doctors before but this was the worst experience I've ever had. I was insulted and intimidated and would advise any of my friends or family to go to anyone else. His computer didn't work, he talked about my boobs when I was there for my arm and refused to operate on me because I hurt his feels by asking him to stop making rude comment and then stormed out on me.

Greetings to all, When I first decided to make an appointment with Vladimir Shur, my choice of doctor was not based on recommendations or reviews, so I did not have any expectations. Looking back, I would say that it was one of the best choices I have made so far, and I would do the same. I had undergone surgery for a broken tibia and meniscus in my right knee. My surgery went very well, the doctor was communicative and supportive throughout the entire process. I had very detailed instructions and care. Not only did I recover very well and quickly, but I was able to return to work within a week. To summarize, he is a professional and an expert in his field, I have no regrets and highly recommend him! Thank you Doc! Khatuna Suder

Focused
Surprised the next day from ER , Dr. Shur called we had to operate immediately my clavicle bone badly. His assistant Victor calmed me. I didn’t know who to call to pick me up or to help . Dr. Shur and I didn’t really talk. Only the nurses talked. He was distantly focused in executing his operation to his best . After 51/2 hours I woke up in the recovery. I only saw him again 2 weeks after. He was very gentle. My recovery was fantastic. I had great movement of my arm and shoulder. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR SHUR HE IS A TRUE CARPENTER! * I feel he reads his patients body saving him time to progression of the operation.*

I sustained trauma to my right shoulder. I first went for an MRI (I worked at a hospital at the time) and the doctor told me that it was impossible to fix. Dr. Vladimir Shur was recommended to me. During my first visit, I received an X-ray and Dr. Shur diagnosed my injury immediately. I had a one inch tear in my rotator cuff. He said he can fix it and avoid an entire shoulder replacement. This was a highly complicated surgery but Dr. Shur used minimally invasive techniques. I am a middle aged woman with a rather complicated medical history. I was also very nervous regarding having surgery. Dr. Shur and Victor Svyatkovsky had the highest bedside manners to calm my nerves, make me comfortable, and monitor the entire surgical process. The supporting staff, surgical coordinators and front desk were very attentive, thorough and patient. They were diligent in all required paperwork in regard to my workers compensation and physical therapy. I would highly recommend Dr. Shur.

A year after my total hip replacement and I'm back to normal. This is thanks to Dr. Shur and his team. I walk more than 20 blocks, ride a bike, have the strength I had before the surgery, and haven't had any side effects. I am a very lucky woman. Dr. Shur said it right away, "you'll be happy."

Dr Vladimir Shur is an extremely competent orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Shur Took the time to fully explain the procedure he was planing on preforming on my femur. He took the time to answer all my questions, putting my mind to rest. Dr. Shur along with his PA Victor are readily approachable with an easygoing style that exudes confidence. Office staff are quite cordial and efficient. I Highly recommend Dr. Shur for those in need of orthopedic surgery.

Dr Shur treated me for a fractured hip. My case was unusual and he worked really hard consulting an oncologist and other surgeons that specialized in hip replacement and ending up finding a way to save my hip rather than doing a hip replacement. I feel really lucky to have ended up as his patient. I see some of the reviews criticize him for something like bedside manner. I can see why someone that is upset and not very sophisticated say that because he is very reserved and has a dry sense of humor but I would chalk that up to miscommunication. I would trust him with my life.

While I understand that surgery does have its risks and that as such, it may not be for everyone… If you are a highly active individual that can’t sit still for any length of time, are serious about getting back to functioning at full capacity ASAP (as opposed to waiting 3 to 6 months, or more, for your injury to heal on its own), appreciate an extraordinary surgeon with a great sense of humor who is attentive, straightforward, goal oriented and focused on results … who will give you back your mobility and zest for life after a very short “fix and repair” hiatus … and who will leave you with a very smooth thin line that is barely visible for a memento scar ... Then Dr. Shur is decidedly your guy!!! As such, he gets an A+ and five stars from this very grateful, satisfied, and life/fun-loving New York City dance artist. ~Margarita Abadie

Dr Shur's confidence in the difficult surgery to repair both bones in my arm from the top of my elbow immediately kept me at ease. Despite the prognosis of limited elbow flexibility, he managed my expectations exceedingly well and I made a complete recovery. As an added bonus he his serious but funny and made me laugh when at the time I could barely muster a smile. I was recommended many other surgeons with similar expertise but none rivaled his credentials.

Dr. Shur is an amazing Doctor, he us very personable. He takes the time to answer your question no matter how simple they are. He has a very stern persona when you first meet him but soon that melts away as you begin to discuss whatever you're there for. He is truly a very genuine person and that comes through in his mannerisms and the way he speaks to you and not at you... To summarize I believe Dr. Shur is very capable, caring, and professional.

Dr. Shur has performed 3 surgeries on me with one them being a total hip replacement. He had me walking again in about 6 weeks after surgery from being brought to the hospital in a wheelchair. His expertise has changed my life. I now walk better than I have in the past 10 years. I will continue to recommend him to family & friends. He is the "BEST"......
