It took me years to write this review. Our daughter was 2 when she had rubella. We didn't vaccinate her with MMR until later & at 2 years old she developed a rash.I immediately suspected rubella as I had it myself when I was older & remembered it well plus as a mom & a person with an advanced degree I did my own research. We shared our suspicions with Dr.Dao immediately when we brought her in for a visit,he brushed us off saying it was definitely not rubella & that he had seen rubella before and that it would likely go away on its own.TWO MORE visits later & him REFUSING to test her for rubella (we asked!) we went to a different doctor who did antibodies test (by then rash was almost gone)&sure enough it WAS rubella. We paid $150 deductible for each visit (and it took multiple visits) to only be refused to properly diagnose our child and to LISTEN to us, parents. We never went back and switched to a different doctor

I am really selfish about leaving this review as I don't want others to find out how great he is and then I want be able to get an appointment for our son. We moved to Texas 3 years ago and looked long and hard for a pediatrician for our son. When we found Dr. Dao and Cooks Children Pediatrics it was truly a blessing. Dr. Dao is one of most caring Physicians that I have ever met. Most of all he explains everything to you which for me is very important. He is truly the best and funny to boot

Dr. Dao is amazing! Being a first time mom, I did a crazy amount of research before choosing a pediatrician for my newborn daughter. I chose Dr. Dao and have not been disappointed! He is kind and outgoing, obviously cares deeply for the kids under his care. More importantly, he is clear and thorough. Usually answers my questions before I can even ask them (even my paranoid new mom questions) and makes sure I understand everything. Will not be going anywhere else. Highly recommend!
