Like my dr
When he was over downtown Lexington the wait was always 2 hrs. I’ve tried 1st appt after lunch it the last appt. He’s been my dr for 34 yrs. I still go to him. He’s knowledgeable in heart as well. And so many other areas. He was my son’s pediatrician too. Now he’s in a new location off Cherokee rd and the wait time is a lot shorter. Only 2 drs and nurse practitioner Kaylee is great. Dr Dacus does listen. You have to remember if he’s in with a patient and they wanna talk, or have other concerns your appt will take longer. I wouldn’t want him to rush me without hearing my concerns Now I get in and out less than an hour. He knows my history so why change. He’s my husbands dr too and still my sons.

Can't reach him
I've been sick for three weeks and I have not been able to get a hold of Dr. Dacus. No one should be this sick for this long without being able to talk to their doctor.

Dr. Dacus has been my Primary Care Physician for 29 years. He listens to you well and answers questions you may have regarding anything that's bothering you. His staff is very professional and nice. He has just moved to a new office off of Old Cherokee Rd. in Lexington, SC.

Excellent Doctor
Dr. Dacus is an excellent doctor. He has really helped me. He takes his time and really listens. He may occasionally be a little late but that is because he doesn’t try to rush your appointment. And trust me you will be grateful for that even if you have to wait a little bit. Because when it is your turn he will spend enough time with you that you will feel heard. And your issues will be addressed.

I have been going to Dr. Dacus for years and he and his staff have made me feel welcome every visit. I have had a rough year from a prior surgery somewhere else and he has been kind, understanding and patient with all of my problems. I know how it feels to be mistreated in a medical office and that is not the case with Dr. Dacus. Even if I’m not feeling well, I look toward to visiting his office because I know I will be well taken care of.

Do thorough research on this Doctor before becoming a patient of his. He dismissed me as a patient with no warning and no detailed reason. As a LMC family physician I was told verbally by the LMC action line that he can do this. I was dismissed appx. 18 mos. ago and to this date have been unable to obtain an appointment with another LMC Family Practice family physician at Any of its office locations that I have contacted. Apparently, this dismissal last one's lifetime and can greatly limits one's access to healthcare as LMC is one of the bigger organizations in the Midlands.

I agree with others that the wait is excessive but I thought it was worth it! The staff and dr dacus were amazing! I’d rather wait an hour and a half and receive great care then be treated at the “factory” medical offices I’ve been to. I want someone who will take their time with me even if that means they take their time with everyone. Think about it people

I just had an experience with Dr. Dacus' staff that I wanted to share. I needed to address an unexpected issue that arose with my Daughter. Due to a breakdown in communication related to problems with my cell phone, I had not received an update that the office provided me and as a result was overly-aggressive in trying to get resolution. The professionalism the staff showed in handling my situation was tremendous, they treated me with the utmost respect, in spite of my inappropriate approach.

A very good doctor. Always late, even on the first appointment. Staff for the doctor is not of high quality. Getting my prescriptions correct is a major accomplishment and has cost me in excess in $100 for their mistakes.

If you are 10 minutes late your appointment will be cancelled,However It's OK for this doctor to make you wait 1 hour or more with the famous line of (sorry for the wait) every time for 7 years.EVERY TIME-Joe T.

Dacus was great its the wait that was just stupid. I went 2 times in the last 3 days... one day I waited 45 mins for the doc and the other time it was 1.5 hrs. I don't see why or how they can make a person sit in an office and WAIT that long. Silly! Not to mention just to get an appointment the hoops you have to jump through to be set up as a patient with them. Not a great office.
