Dr. Wael Girgis, MD

He is so condescending and dismissive. He asked me questions and when I didn’t know the answer he had rude and condescending comments. For example when I didn’t know an over the counter dosage of one of my vitamins he said- how do you not know, how am I supposed to treat you if you don’t know this. He made rude comment about several things, with the tone of disbelief at my idiocy. I ask him to look at a place on my foot he was dismissive and again made comments with the tone of disbelief at my stupidity. This is my second second visit where he has done this. First one he made me cry but not this time. I packed up my stuff- told him to finish what he needed to do to finish the visit. He then acted like he had know idea why I was upset. He asked to explain himself and started calling me ma’am, Which again implies that I am being irrational and he is having to calm me. I told him all of the above things to his face. I will never be back and I would not ever recommend him!

He was not interested in knowing how I was doing on the medicine he prescribed for me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Girgis for approximately 30 years. He has monitored my thyroid medication and has kept me in the proper level of this time. The last couple of years, Dr. Girgis has monitored thyroid cysts and is keeping a close watch to make sure they continue to shrink.

Switched to him from a different Endocrinologist. He didn't make me feel like a number and explained things very well. His entire staff was excellent.

Most certainly would recommend him.

I've seen Dr Girgis for 9 years now. By far the best endo I've seen since being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
