Dr. Wafa Musa-Popeney, DO

She has wonderful bedside care. She help save me when I was in a very low place physically and mentally. I can’t say enough good things about her. As an African American women our medical needs are often dismissed and overlooked. With her she see each patient not as account payable.

Dr. Popeney has been my doctor for years. Her staff is very friendly and compassionate. GiGi her assistant is always willing to help me with any concerns. She’s very accommodating.

I've been going to Dr. Musa-Popeney for years and I must say she is very sweet. However, some of her staff are HORRIBLE! I called in for my pills which I normally do at times and never had an issue until today. First of all you are just a glorified babysitter and not a nurse nor a doctor to try and tell me when I should have called in for my pills or how I should take them in such a rude manner. I got my pills on 02/10 and they are for 30 days, but I only take half to stretch for 60 days, something I've been doing for awhile and she proceeded on to tell me it won't work and I should have called in on March 10th. Second, I shouldn't received the 3rd degree when it should have been a simple request without all the extra. It taken everything in me not to go off on this woman because I am amongst my coworkers in the office. My suggestion is get a staff that are much more pleasant to your patient. Just because we are patients we do pay your salary. One star because of that one staff worker.

Our family has been seeing Dr Popeney for over 20 years. She is a warm, compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough physician who has genuine concern about her patients’ health and welfare

She very caring, compassionate and thorough. Takes her time to serve all of patient's needs.

Dr. Musa-Popeny is a wonderful care provider. She is attentive and very knowledgable! I feel very comfortable sharing my woman and general health concerns with her. Her husband, Dr. Popeny, is a charismatic neurologist who also works in the office. They have a great practice, however my only complaint is the front office secretary was rude to me when I was running 10 minutes late on one occasion. Re-training the office staff on quality customer service is my only recommendation.

HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dr is sweet, staff TERRIBLE. Was placed on hold TWICE for 10 min+ wasnt able to even speal. I was promised blood results 3 times by thursday afternoon, it is friday and now I'm told it takes 5-7 days. Why don't you say this originally? YOUR PATIENT IS IN PAIN!! nothing was recommended for my kidney pain. The lady who answers the phone at the front desk is RUDE and talks about patients who are on the phone for everyone to hear in the wainting room.

Dr. Popeney prescribed a cholesterol medication that causes tachycardia to my mother who has had tachycardia for years. This left my mother with a sense of vertigo that lasted for more than 12 hours, nausea and cyanotic. Dr. Popeney has been well-informed of this condition my mom suffers from because I have been with my mom to the doctors office where she is complaining of her fast beating heart that causes her to be short of breath and have episodes of vertigo. I am HIGHLY upset,

Dr. Musa-Popeney is an exceptional advocate for her patients. Because she did not hesitate to refer me to a specialist when she found a small anomaly in my tests, cancer was found in the early stage and treatment immediately begun. Some doctors might have waited and repeated the test after a time; thankfully, she listened to her instincts and ordered an immediate referral. I trust her and am grateful for her good care.
