New Patient
I was referred to Dr El Ayass to address follow up after being admitted to the emergency room. He was quick to order blood work to determine next steps in my treatment plan. The office staff were kind and caring. Very clean and comfortable waiting room. Luminis Healthcare offers excellent care in Annapolis Maryland.

I would give zero points if an option. He started this first patient appointment by telling me that he doesn't see my issue often and telling me what is a common problem. When I brought up some issues that were asked about in their questionnaire, he dismissed them. He ended the appt by telling me I should consider bariatric surgery. This is in no way relevant to my issue. He didn't ask anything about my weight issue. As a recovering BED patient, this put me in a negative frame of mind. I had not expected this from a hematologist and certainly not so bluntly without any questions or history from me. I am not going back to him.

Dr. El Ayass supervised my chemo treatment for endometrial cancer. He came highly recommended, and he met those expectations. He is thorough, and detail-oriented. When I had a concern about the nursing protocols he asked the head nurse to speak to me right away. He does not beat around the bush with difficult information, but he is caring and compassionate. I would not want to see anyone else - I feel I am in excellent hands under his care and he will not miss a thing. He is an excellent doctor.

Highly knowledgable & compassionate doctor. Great bed side manners. Straight to the point & explains to patients about their disease & give them a copy of guidelines to support his clinical judgement. High self confidence & very humble at the same time. Absolutely my favorite physician

Arrogant. Poor patient-doctor interaction. Calls go to voice mail far too often. Does not give clear written instructions. Seems preoccupied and speaks more to his assistant than the patient. Channels of communication are not clear. Seemed to be in a hurry. Appointment process is unfriendly. Needs improvement in communication with patient. Horrible experience.
