Bad Experience
First words out of Dr Mays mouth was to degrade me for having asthma/COPD. I am 69 he says "your lungs are worse than an 80 year olds". I was asking for breathing help after going through really rough COVID. He then asked me to walk down the hall and back, when I turned and headed back he was simply gone. When I went around and found a nurse she tells me something will be called in. Insulted and confused I left. NEVER want to see Walker May, MD again.

I had been going to the North Caddo clinic for 6 years and been with Dr. May for the past 4...my low rating is more to do with his staff (constant issues trying to get prescription refills) until I FINALLY complained to higher ups. Then he clearly retaliated against me by suddenly wanting to "wean" me off of my ADHD medications I have taken most of my adult life because he saw "no reason to need it" since I was unemployed. The issue is I was ALWAYS unemployed while seeing them and it was never an issue (nor should it be as ADHD isn't dependent on job status). My new doctor reviewed my file and agrees it seems to be a clear issue of retaliation for my complaint.

Dr. May is kind, compassionate, caring, and takes time for his patients. He has taken extra time to care for our family, especially my mom, dealing with a very difficult disease and I could not have asked for a better doctor.

I would not recommend Dr Walker May he has been my doctor for quite a while now. But hardly ever gives me information about tests that I run blood work or anything. If the hospital does x-rays blood work or anything they send them out to be done I do not like the hospital whatsoever. Which adds extra cost but Dr May does not consult with you very well whatsoever has no feelings for you. For example my last visit was what are you here for okay bye out the door he went. So no I would not recommend him I'm looking for a new doctor if anyone knows of a doctor that might care for you.

Exact same experience as individual who also gave one star rating! Tried to explain previous injuries that were never treated and the type of pain I was having and the DR. Starts telling me how much pain he has and that I just need to do stretches and work through it. I ask for MRI and he proceeds to ask me if I know how much a MRI costs and refuses to order one. Instead does a bunch of xrays and sends me out with a prescription. I immediately go to another doctor and they send me directly to receive two MRI's That show exactly why I am in so much pain.

never once did his office call about tests results...i always had to call them usually several times...i was trying to explain my level of pain when the doctor and the nurse both starting telling me how much pain they were in ...i was shocked..what is it a game to see who was in more pain...where is the compassion? i was setting there paying them to tell me how much pain they were in....never going back there

Dr. May is very professional and explains conditions and reason for treatments very well. One of the things I like most about Dr. May is that he takes time to not only listen to the patients input, but he actually takes what you have to say into consideration. He will take the time to discuss your problem and the treatment with you in detail. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. May to my family and friends.
