Please reconsider using this physician
I believe this office is poorly run and reflects a careless and irresponsible approach to medicine. In my opinion which is based on observation and experience the lack of training of the support staff is painfully obvious. When staff make errors from inexperience in using equipment the results can be dire. In my experience the doctor did not check the work of his staff and proceeded with surgeries based on incomplete and/or faulty information. In my case the damage is permanent.

Dr. Goldban has healed my eyes! My whole life I have had problems with near-sightedness and had macular degeneration so my eye sight has always been terrible. Had to have a very high contact lens prescription. I had cataract surgery from Dr. Goldban and for the first time ever in my life I had 20 20 vision! Since then, I have learned its typical to develop cloudy spots and my eye sight started to get poor again. I went to Dr. Goldban and had a follow up laser surgery. I was able to make appointments in a very timely manner with his office. I am not the easiest patient about my eyes especially bright lights but Dr. Goldban is so easy to work with. He is patient and kind. My eyes seem even better than after I had cataract surgery. Colors look brighter and I don't need glasses (except for reading). But I'm confident he will help make that amazing too once I go for the follow up. If you want a great eye doctor this is the one- even if you have to wait. Iamsoexcited to see if I am at 20/20

Dr. Goldbans credentials are excellent. I've been a patient for about l6 years. I've been through cataracts removals. He is a very skilled ophthalmologist. Sometimes his waits can be long so bring something to do or a friend to talk to in case you have to wait. I feel he's worth the wait.

Dr. Goldban's other physician was terrible as I had already been diagnosed with cataracts but after first visit I was asked to make appt for glasses as they may help. WHAT? Please be very wary. I should report this but haven't had time.

Very busy office. Small cramped waiting room. Seemed like an assembly line practice with no patient education or encouragement for questions about your eye health. Appoint focuses on what you write down on your intake health summary so be sure to include everything you are concerned about.

He is a good doctor, I think, if you don't mind waiting for an hour plus for a routine appointment. I do mind so I left after an hour when I was told it would be another 20 minutes. Overbooking shows little respect for patients. When I called and asked that my records be sent to me so I can take them to another doctor, I was told I would have to come in to sign a release form. Wrong answer. I told them to mail me the release. We'll see if they follow through. Patients do have rights in CA.

Nice guy. Knowledgeable, hurried, lacking patient education skills on risk factors attendant to cataract surgery, i.e., likelihood of torn retinas. He's overbooked frequently which impacts on wait times and hurried visits. Patient education takes time.

First of all I drive from Nevada to see Dr. Goldban every year for my routine eye examinations and having a problem with my eyes have driven other every week for treatment. Staff: The greatest staff, you will not find a complete staff more friendly and helpful. Dr. Goldban: Wonderful. He sits and takes time explaining everything going on with your eyes and answers all your questions. If you are willing to take the drive it is worth it. I love this group and would recommend this office.

If you value your time even somewhat, I would not recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Goldban. I understand things come up and doctors run late. So after 35 minutes in the waiting room, I was told that he was running late, and it would be another 20-25 minutes before I even made it to the exam room!!! The receptionist offered no explanation and offered to re-schedule but I declined. I'm sure he's a great dr, but I won't be back and I'll be sure to pass this experience on to others.
