Dr. Waseem Ahmed, MD

He was great with my nonverbal autistic son for a while. He prescribed him a medication in which eventually led to my son, who cannot tell me when he is sick, to the ER. I found out through this ER visit that the certain medication has caused him a serious organ situation that could have led to him going septic (per ER M.D.) It took my child's health to make a drastic decline for me to know there was something wrong. Dr. Amed and the entire office in Abilene stopped answering phone calls and emails months and months prior to this incident. This occurred in February 2024. It is now October 2024, and I just got a hold of the office after almost a year I trusted him with my child's health and Dr. Amed's 'medical expertise' almost killed a special needs 10 year old boy. Revoke this man's license. He not only made a dumb decision but left us in the dark. We had no help with it. There were some issues that my son needed addressed and this doctor dropped off the map. He failed his patient.

I do not recommend this provider. I saw him once. During our appointment we discussed 1 medication and agreed to try it so he said he would send the prescription in. When the medication came, it turned out he sent in 4 medications. 3 of those medications we had not discussed at all. I do not feel safe or comfortable with this provider.

Dr. Ahmed has seen my children for 7 years and is truly the best. He listens very well and cares about you.

Dr. Ahmed is always courteous and respectful, and kind. He has a calming demeanor. He listens carefully and makes cogent, brilliant responses. Frankly, I have had various and sundry psychiatrists since 1983. No comparison: Dr. Ahmed is the most distinguished and the best. I am a person with Dr. Ahmed; not an object or mere statistic. Dr. Ahmed has supreme integrity and I trust him fully.

I have seen Dr Ahmed maybe 2-3 yrs. I feel he is there for me.

dr. Ahmed is very polite, great bedside manners. His knowledge is very helpful and has helped us with our four year old. He explains things and when he talks to our son he is so nice and patient.

I have seen Dr. Ahmed 6 times and I highly recommend him as a practitioner. He is very knowledgeable and skilled as a clinician. He is considerate, respectful, and excellent at providing feedback and advice.

He is very caring and listens to everything you have to say. He really does care about his patients. The staff are so nice. Best psychologist iv had.
