My father had an ingrown toenail. Dr. Epstein dug at it - it didn't heal. He came back - 3 more times - and dug at it. Turns out, the toe has now developed gang green. This is caused, as we found out by a more knowledgeable DPM - that it will never heal, because Epstein never considered the swollen feet meant that there was little circulation in the foot! The second DPM we went to - sent my father for sonograms of his legs to check for circulation - BEFORE HE WOULD CUT INTO MY DAD'S FOOT! So much for Epstein. Will never go back.
