Dr. Hellstrom is consistently late for appointments, impatient and uninterested in answering questions in the maximum of five minutes he is willing to spend with patients, and is overall unprofessional. His “support” staff provides nothing of the sort. Expect weeks of ignored calls, billing mistakes, and bad attitudes. If you are dealing with any issues, especially infertility, avoid the unnecessary stress and lack of helpfulness you will find here.

I had to get two vasectomies because the first one was done improperly. The second vasectomy left me with permanent stitches, which my wife removed. Along with these major mistakes during surgery, I was billed twice for an outpatient visit. Overall, is was an unpleasant experience.

Dr. Hellstrom is a teaching Dr. which I personally have much confidence in his care. The wait time varies but I never had to wait more than an hour.

We waited over a month just to get an appointment. My husband waited two hours to be seen by Dr. Hellstrom. Then dr. Hellstrom was rude to him. His exact words at one point were, "What do you want?". He also wanted to charge him to have another semen analysis even after he had my husband fax over the results of the one we just had done. Absolutely disgusting to know this is how he treats some of his patients that are seeking answers in attempt to start a family.
