No physical exam
I saw Dr. Layne for the first time 6 months ago for my breast check up as a breast cancer survivor. He was one of a revolving door of doctors that NW brought in to replace my original Oncologist who retired. I have an appointment with Dr. Layne in two weeks, assuming he will still be employed at NW Hospital. Can someone explain to me how he can give me an exam without touching me? My original oncologist would perform a physical exam on my remaining breast, on the area around the breast that was removed as well as abdomen (lymph nodes). When I asked Dr. Layne why he isn't performing a physical exam, he said talking to me about my past experiences would be sufficient. Huh?

DR walked out of the treatment room with no plan of care and i had many questions that were not answered. 13 blood tests were also ordered which were a little over the top. as far as necessity. I also called the office to review the blood work results with no reply from the dr or the office staff.

My husband was diagnosed with lymphoma 2 years ago and is currently in remission. We have been overwhelmed by Dr. Layne's compassion and ethics. He is a true patient advocate! JUST THE BEST!
