Horrible, consistently very long wait times
The length of wait time varies from 1.5 to 2.5 hrs to be seen. We have NEVER waiter for a reasonable length of time. He overbooks to the degree that he obviously doesn't care as it has become his norm. If it happened once for an emergency, we would understand. The last appointment for injections, we waited OVER 2 1/2 hrs then left and are now seeing another physician with normal weight times. Of all physicians, you would think that he would be more cognizant of patients having serious pain while they wait. Staff not good about checking in with patients to explain delay.

Corporate doctor, don't be fooled by old reviews. He sold his soul to a corporation in 2017.

I have been a patient with Dr. Nel for many years. He has seen me through two back surgeries and now I am seeing him for my neck. I have referred many people to him and not one has been disappointed. He is excellent. My only complaint in all this time is I had asked to see Dr. Nel specifically and waited almost 2 months to do so. However when I went to my appointment this week I saw his assistant. I was disappointed but have to say his APRN was very good.

Some offices try to make their patients feel important. Not this office!! They (Robyn) explain that all their patients are in pain and that you are just one of the herd. If you attempt to ask a question she offers to hang up on you. I've heard good things about Dr. Nel but his staff could use some customer relations training.

I was seeing another pain mgt Dr in Brandon for 5 years I finally got tired of being treated horribly by the physician and his staff This Dr was only concerned about one thing>>>Money Dr Nel is the total opposite of that Dr He is the most caring man I've ever met and so is his staff . Trust me You don't have to put up with a doctor that interrupts you , doesn't listen to you and doesn't care about you at all ! If you have a serious pain problem you need to see DR Nel. He is The Best!

Dr. Nel didn't seem to have time for me. Always in a hurry. Had injections that did nothing for me. Finally after about 4 visits he told me there was nothing more he could do for me.

I would not recommend Dr. Nel unless you want to wait in his office for an HOUR AND A HALF (1.5 hours) AFTER your appointment, and when you can't wait any longer, you see Dr. Nel in his office chit chatting. My appointment was at 11:30 AM. Their office "closes" for lunch from 12:30 to 1:00. I was brought back to the exam room at 12:30. Apparently Dr. Nel thought it was more important to take his lunch break before seeing his morning appointments. RIDICULOUS! I will never go back there again.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nel, and his staff for close to 9 years. A MVA in 2000 which required 9 spinal surgeries before I could even walk again left me at the end of my rope. Caring about the quality of life of his patients, Dr. Nel he is on top of all of all new treatment modalities. When a new medication went on the market several years ago I was on it the day it was available. His staff took to the phones to find a pharmacy who could fill the prescription. Dr. Nel changed my life.

Dr. Nell seems to be a highly qualified physician but is near impossible to get hold of. His medical assistant does not return calls or avoids speaking with you. I have had multiple appointments cancelled the day before my appointment by his staff. Most recently I was scheduled to have a joint injection done prior to 6/29/2016 and now I'm told it can not be done before July! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hurt.
