Knows what he’s doing & a genuinely good person, professional & kind. There’s good flexibility in getting last min appt if it’s really important. It’s an older office but always clean & located next to the hospital he works at. Wait times are usually low with occasional exceptions. He will spend as much time with you as you need that day. I’ve been in his care several years & very happy.

Couldn’t Recommend More!!
I came to Nashville when I was 17 and knew no one with a fairly serious medical condition. I’m now in my mid 30s and he has continued to go above and beyond; literally kept me alive through many flares, and has been able to diagnose symptoms that no other doctor has by thinking outside the box. At 17 he took care of me as if I was his own and continues to. He’s an amazing doctor and I can’t recommend him enough!!

Colonoscopy day!
Dr Alexander made sure he visited before and after the procedure. I had this before, and he was very prompt and professional with procedure and follow up. In the more rural area that I live in, it is so good that he comes and provides care; I didn’t need to travel the Murfreesboro or Nashville.

Dr. Alexander diagnosed my husband with cirrhosis of the liver with acutes due to diabetes. He listened to our fears and concerns. He asks questions and takes his time in order to find out all details from the last visit to the present one. He gives advice on anything that may be bothering you and checks to see if your medication is working. Any complications are talked about in detail. He is truthful but will reassure you he is there for you. After being there with my husband Dr. Alexander is who I would go to myself.

Didn't work enough to find my husband's problem. Lost 15 lbs in less than 3 months. Can't eat very weak and sick. Waste of time and money at witts end. Got to find someone that can help.

I choose Dr.Alexander for the past experience and care he seem to have for my wife. But he didn't seem to have the same , we'll get to the bottom of this feeling for me. When a person has lost 15 lbs in less than 3 months ,can't eat solid food and bowels pass stole know bigger than 1/4 to 3/8 in size when he does or Can even tell he has to go there's a blockage or something. Food stays in my stomach for 8 To 10 hours. Just not the same Doctor.

My wife and I both see him. He manages my wife's chronic liver disease. I simply can't say enough good about Dr. Alexander. He's kind and pleasant, but straightforward. He manages to deliver bad news without undue gloom. but also without sugarcoating it. He's compassionate, non-judgmental, and personable. You'll probably wait for a while at his office. When you get back to see him, you'll understand why. When you're in his office, he's unhurried, and you're his only concern.

Dr. Alexander has been my doctor since I came to Nashville 25 years ago. He was highly recommended then and has proved to be very competent and careful. I have Chrons disease and have had many ups and downs over the year, including a bowel resection. I trust his advice and have complete faith in his thorough knowledge of gastrointestinal issues. He's quiet and reserved and spends a lot of time thinking and looking over my file -- but that's more important than chit-chat.

I have been in an out of doctors for years with similar stomach issues. Now that I am pregnant I am having a lot of trouble with losing weight and not being able to eat. When I had my first visit with Dr. Alexander I was brushed off. He wouldn't look me in the eye when talking to me. When I tried to provide background knowledge of my medical history he didn't want to here it. This was the biggest waist of money and time. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
