Dr. William Azie, MD

I came in to emergency not realizing that I had a very hefty A-fib health issue. I wasn't breathing well and was very bloated. I had self assessed myself, thinking I had intestinal tract issues, or a cyst or something other than an A-fib issue, but...Dr. Azie, zeroed right in on it, started treatment, had an ambulance take me directly to Bon Secour St Francis, and put me under the care of the Cardiac team with Dr. Kapadia. He also allowed me the imaging services, I thought I needed while at the emergency. He was absolutely wonderful in his calm approach to telling me what exactly was going on, and gave me a full explanation as to what I was really suffering from. I was in a pretty bad state, and I feel that this soft spoken, very quiet but very astute Dr. and his staff that evening were integral to my staving off a stroke. I spent a week in ICU, and today, I am in the care of a team who have me on a great combination of meds, and care, SO very grateful to Dr Azie for his care

I saw Dr. Azie at St. Francis. He answered all my questions and explained my diagnosis in terms that I could understand.

Dr. Azie is an excellent and compassionate physician. He quickly assessed an elderly family member who was ill, has excellent communication skills re reason for, status, and results of tests. This is my second interaction with him in the St. Mary's Hospital ER, and his professional demeanor and clear ability to stay calm and direct a patient's care while reassuring anxious family members has been consistent during both visits.
