He ignored the fact my child had a fever over 13 days and dismissed the fact that she still had swollen glands shrugging it all off as “just some virus”. Then he showed no concern for her history of very frequent fevers with fatigue and not seeming like herself—way too often. Because of Dr. Barson, they kicked us out of the hospital with no answers. Running a few tests and giving up is practicing poor medicine. He could have and should have ran an antibodies test, even tested for meningitis. He did the quickest exam I’ve ever seen, barely touching her. My daughter deserved more time and someone to actually FIGURE IT OUT. They are the infectious disease experts yet they pawned her off on her pediatrician—who admits THEY are the experts and who should be in charge of figuring this out. Dr. Barson let us down by not doing his job and I would NOT recommend him to treat your child.
