Dr. William Douglass, MD

My last experience with Dr. Douglas and his staff was terrible. I went to see Dr. Douglas for my annual well visit, for no other reason. The doctor reviewed my medications, labs and asked about my current existing conditions. I received a bill from the office for my visit (which I normally do not receive a bill for my annual check-up). I called billing and they advised they would look into it. After 4 months of frustrating calls, I was told the visit was not my annual and I was responsible for the balance owed. I will not be going back to this doctor ever again and feel that the visit was coded to get a larger payment from the insurance as well as myself. The doctor also advised was anti-vax and to not let Advent know this as he would lose his job.

I've been a patient at this office for over 7 years. My Dr left, and I got under the care of Douglass. He's friendly enough, but I have never once felt like I was heard or had my questions answered. He comes into the room with a rolling stand and computer, and immediately takes voice notes. I had some questions about the medication I was put on after a recent trip to the hospital and he was so busy talking into the recorder he didn't even hear me. Then just said "Keep taking it until end of year" without an explanation. I leave the office with about 20 pages of paper on what websites to look at to help me through life. The only thing this office is good for anymore is if you just want yearly blood work read to you. Anything else you get referred off, and if you're sick, you usually can't get in the same day. I'm just really disappointed because I loved my Dr before and now I feel like I have to start all over somewhere else because this isn't the place for me anymore.

Taking off a star for the phone service. Advent Health needs to change how to get into contact with your doctors office. It is a very busy office but I do think Dr. Douglass is a good doctor himself. I did not have to wait very long.

I am new to the area and this was my initial visit. I was happy with the interaction of the office.

Mr. Douglas not Dr. Douglas because he doesn’t act like a doctor He is a paper pusher. All he does is sit at his computer and type and he doesn’t do anything that a doctor would do listen to your heart listen to your breathing nothing and then he acts annoyed that you’re there and then he tells you if You don’t like it You can go find another doctor. I can’t believe they let him practice and I think that any good review that is written for him is written by him because no one would give him a good review. He is the worst doctor I have ever encountered in my life

Very happy with my visit with Dr. Douglass. I'm very happy with our treatment plan. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.

Dr. Douglass is a great guy. Great visit. Busy office. But if it wasn't busy I would be a little worried about why it was slow. Most good doctors are busy. Practice needs a direct phone line. But I think Advent Health does the phone system like this.

I was treated by Dr Douglass at the VA in Daytona and when he went into private practice I followed him as my Primary Physician. Always been treated good and respectful.

Excellent doctor and staff. They are kind, caring and knowledgeable. They say healthcare providers make the worst patients probably since we are very picky. Dr. Douglas and his staff has exceeded my expectations. I plan to bring my husband in next month. Thanks to everyone for a fantastic experience.

Excellent. I believe there are many people that are angry and fling out at everyone. It's a tough time to be a doctor and I believe we need to support our medical people. People seem so bitter and hateful. I had a great experience with Dr. Douglass.

Started off with his nurse being rude, almost walked out. Talked to Dr. Douglass and he was nice enough, but avoided answering two direct questions he was asked. He ended up telling me he basically wasn’t ever going to do anything for me, he was just “a gate keeper” who would be sending me to other doctors. We went over the printed list of medications that I take and I asked him if he had an issue prescribing anything I am taking and he said no, “we love to fill prescriptions, just call”. I asked him about one medication specifically, an anti-inflammatory, and he said he had no problem prescribing it. Now here I am a few months later needing that filled, and he’s changed his mind and he’s not comfortable filling it. Stay far, far away from this liar. He’s not a good doctor, his staff is rude, and you won’t be happy if you waste your time with him. He’s a lousy human being.

I have never felt so awful leaving a doctor's appointment then I did after seeing Dr. Douglass. He turned my complaints into a Covid 19 vaccine rant. He listened to nothing I said and told me he didn't have time for because he already had a patient waiting in the next room. I did not come in with a long laundry list of complaints. I had 2 concerns and he was annoyed. An annual physical is headed towards concerns and discussions. He wanted none of that. I would not send my worst enemy to see this man. He doesn't care, he doesn't listen.

sat waiting in a room for over 40 minutes never saw him .!! his unvaccinated staff are unprofessional and rude I will never go back .......I found great Dr. with a vaccinated staff who knows how to treat people well

I am so fortunate to have found Dr. Douglass. He is my primary care physician. I've already begun to feel better since I've seen him and believe that with his help, I will continue to get healthier. He is very professional and his staff is very kind. I highly recommend Dr. Douglass
