Dr. William Egan, MD

Dr. Egan had to perform emergency surgery due to bowel obstruction. He was able to explain everything to me and provide a calming presence. He and his team visited me every day in the hospital and were able to give excellent care. When returning to have staples removed, he reviewed previous care, current issues, next steps and additional surgery needed. He really listened to my concerns and calmed my fears. Thank you, K. D.

Came in with prejudgment that what I had was not a lipoma as others had said and was a normal fat roll. Though this thing has grown over 10 years that no one will remove and is painful. Said 15 times a lipoma and even if removed would still hurt. Said all this before even checking me. Told me because it swells and is painful it’s not a lipoma. Though I had a lipoma removed. From my groin and it was painful and swelled. Treated me like a stupid woman - condescending and not interested in helping me at all. Left his office. When I find out what this is - cause it’s something - I swear I will take the diagnosis and broadcast it everywhere and protest his office in person. What a butt! Demeaning. I hope the energy he just gave me. He gets back tenfold.

Dr. Egan is great at making you feel comfortable and knowledgeable about your procedure. At the consult appointment, he has a special way of explaining what will be done, why it's being done, how it will be done, and how your body will react to it. When it came time for my surgery, I was very anxious and he held my hand and talked to me as they put me to sleep. His care and performance is outstanding.
