Horrible experience
Dr. Ferrell came in and didn't look at me. He asked questions and said I don't know why they sent you here, that's not a neurology problem. He was very curt, short and dismissive. I felt he did not want me there and definitely did not have a great bed side manner. I would not recommend him.

Life is too short to be as miserable as Dr. Ferrel
Met this deplorable man yesterday. My 80 year old mom suffered multiple strokes so this guy was called in for a consult at the hospital. He seemed bothered to be there and asked, “Do you even want me to do an evaluation?” Seriously? Dismissive, irritated, horrific bedside manner. WOW! Buddy, find something else to do with your life. Reviewed his post visit notes and the tone is incredibly cold and heartless. We aren’t deluding ourselves and the situation and news are difficult enough. Thank goodness I was there with Mom when Dr Ferrell - how fitting a name - arrived. I’m sure this is a difficult profession, but remember, you chose it and something about “do no harm”. Please find something that gives you joy. To all others reading this - find a different provider if at all possible.

Terrible
Waited forever for an appointment. Went in with a list of symptoms. Doctor stated “well, I don’t know what’s wrong with you”. I’ll diagnose you with migraines. Meanwhile, I’ve never had a headache worth mentioning. He seemed bothered by my presence. Worst medical experience of my life.

What's he doing in this practice?
What stood out was his total disregard for the patient. If I was not accompanying my wife and willing to press him, there is no telling what kind of treatment she would have received.

Choose someone else
I took my 77 year old mom with dementia to see Dr Farrell. After waiting 30 min, His first comment. “I don’t even know why they sent you here”. Assuming we were a waste of his time? He was in a hurry, short, and annoyed with us being there.

Horrible
The most bizarre horrible medical appointment I’ve had in my life and I’m 52. Was rushed, like I was bothering him that I was there. Since the health issues I’m having are diminishing my quality of life, I had my sister with me as a second set of eyes and ears, and this was my first appointment with Raleigh Neurology and w/ Dr Ferrell. I waited a long time for this appointment. At one point when I was going over the history, he actually ROLLED HIS EYES. I immediately turned to my sister and said loud enough for him to hear on purpose “Did he just roll his eyes at me?!?” And she said “He sure did!” What a horrible doctor. Needs to have his license revoked.

After waiting for over an hour in the exam room without so much as a nurse coming in to check on me, I had a 10 minute visit with the doctor. He was extremely arrogant and flippant with me. It almost seemed as if he was annoyed that I was there. I left the office not feeling any more informed or any better than I did when I went in. It is these type of doctors that give Other doctors bad reputations of having no bedside manner.

Dr Ferrel helped my husband who had gait problems by analyzing test results and prescribing B12 injections. He is very busy, so make your appointments as early as you can.

On behalf of my mother---Initial consultation; he ordered tests; wanted to see her in 3month--he's booked out 6months! Not waiting 6mo for results, so agreed to see his NP in 3mo, 3 times. After a year, suppose to see him in 6wks for results of recent test/treatment if needed. So my dad goes to pick up routine prescriptions and finds a new drug Ferrell ordered for Alzheimer's--THIS IS NOT HOW YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO FIND OUT!! Not even a phone call; what a disgusting & uncompassionate thing to do!!
