I broke my back at work and had the misfortune of him being the ER physician. He came in the room never ordered a radiograph which would have showed him that so I was discharged with a broken back. I had to go back to work after 3 days and worked like that with incredible pain setting in. Overtime the discs started to crowd my cauda equina nerves, my SI joint and nerves going down both of my legs. I am still trying to get my back fixed because of his incompetence. I had to give him 1 star because it won’t accept none or a minus score please run

When the Dr. came in the room he didn't introduce himself. He came over to me and said that I didn't have a break, and started wiggling my arm. I winced in pain and said Ouch and he kept going not acknowledging the pain he caused. He then patted my back and neck like a limp fish, like he was just going through the motions, but not cataloging. He said I was fine even though I was at a 6 out of 10 on the pain scale, said to take otc pain meds, and put heat and ice on it. I told him that I was in pain and I'd been told by the nurse and others that the pain would be worse the 2nd and even the 3rd day, and I was already in a lot of pain. He said that was wrong I'll be better tomorrow, it's tomorrow and that was NOT true, then literally asked What do you want me to do? Give you a sling? Give you prescription medication? and I told him that I didn't know what he needed to do but he was the Dr. and I was in pain. I do NOT recommend.

Just left the ER at Huntsville Hospital. Dr. Fialkowski was rude, presented with poorly enunciated speech, made me feel like my pain was minimal because I had a “very small kidney stone.” He walked out of the room still talking to us with his back turned. His presentation made me feel he dislikes his job. He just came on shift when I saw him, so can’t use a long shift as an excuse. Fortunately we had a lovely nurse who answered all of my questions with empathy and compassion. I’m sure he is highly qualified to be a physician, but his bedside manner was the worst I’ve ever experienced. I felt bad for his med student shadowing him.

My experience at Madison hospital was recomended by my family Dr. who was on vacation. I had two falls and knots all over my head, my daughter was on the phone with my family Dr. who was in FL recomending that Dr. F. Subscribe me something for inner ear infection. Dr. F. Did not sent me thru test and home. My family Dr. Called me a script in after Christmas holidays. I had another fall after seeing Dr. F. What scared me so bad was 6 months prior I had major back surgery with a cage implant,

We presented to the ER after a sports accident which included a head injury. Dr. Fialkowski did not introduce himself upon entering, was extremely crass in his responses to valid medical questions, and did not explain the extent of the injuries well. We (myself and the patient) both work in hospitals ourselves so we knew some relevant questions to ask, but for any regular person coming into the ER, do not expect to have a thorough examination or to have your questions answered appropriately.
