Amazing Doctor
I'll sum it up. My experience with Dr. Ganz has been exceptional! If you want an honest straight shooter he's your guy. I've had 2 cervical fusions and carpal tunnel surgery on both hands.

Dr Ganz is an excellent surgeon. I went in for brain surgery on a Monday and was discharged 2 days later on Wednesday. His staff is friendly.

Dr. Ganz was the rudest, most condescending, insulting, and shaming doctor I have ever been to. My husband and I were both shocked. He walked in the room announcing that he would not do surgery on me because I am too overweight and it wouldn't be a success, before he even introduced himself or made eye contact. I don't have a problem with that information--it was the way it was delivered. He brought up my weight multiple times. He shamed me for taking pain medication. He also said [twice] that he saw nothing on my MRI that would explain the symptoms I described. I think he was insinuating he didn't believe me about the pain I've been having for 17 years. I could continue to give detailed examples of his negative words and behavior, but you probably get the picture. The others that gave him one star reviews had very similar experiences to mine. I can't believe those 5 star reviews are legitimate. He was the opposite of friendly and considerate. I will never go to him again.

I had back surgery by Dr. Ganz in 2017. The last thing he said to me before I went under the knife was "I'm going to get you out of pain". My pain level actually increased and I've been miserable ever since. I would never reccomend him to anyone. His ego is bigger than his skill level.

Dr. Ganz did a wonderful job on my craniotomy! He was very thorough and explained everything very well! A lot of people that leave reviews mention his lack of beside manner. But in my opinion I would rather have someone that knows exactly what they are doing than Mr. Personality when cutting into my brain. He is very nice just straight to the point. Office Staff very kind and professional! Highly Recommended!

Prior to my appointment, I had heard stories of Dr Ganz bedside manner. However, I think they are completely unfounded. The front office was timely and friendly. The PA (Chris Handyside) was knowledgeable and thorough. Dr Ganz is professional, articulate, and precise. He was not rushed, and took plenty of time to explain to me my conditions and all of the possible options. He even chuckled a few times during the appointment. I would recommend him to anyone.

Ganz did my back surgery my feet are permanently numb and suffer a substantial amount of damage because of his surgery, it turns out the gold standard for doing back surgery was wrong, it leaves a person with worst options then an individual who did not have back surgery now the only pain relief I can get his from opioids unfortunately because of the opioid scare no one will provide them most certainly not the doctor who caused the lifelong problem Do not see this person

Dr Ganz has the uncanny ability to make you feel like your opinion of how you feel does not.matter. He has a inability to handle the fact that people do follow his instructions post surgery. If recovery isn't happening it is the patients fault. I have proof that he lied on my progress notes in my file. He also made up statements about our conversation that are not true. They do not even make sense. His statements are made to cover his actions.

I was referred to Dr. Ganz for a brain tumor. He was very thorough and was willing to answer all of my questions. He also was willing to let me take the time I need to make the decision to have surgery. I appreciated his candor. Many medical professionals in the hospital said very good things about him and that he would be their choice for a surgeon. He is very professional and would recommend him to my family and friends.

I sincerely believe that Dr. Ganz prevented me from being paralyzed for the rest of my life. I had a fall at work and after reading my radiology report, called me at work and insisted I go home immediately. I had several spinal and hip injuries, and workman's compensation was slow with their approvals. Dr. Ganz was very clear explaining my injuries. He does not have a warm and fuzzy bedside manner, but he does give you very clear and professional evaluation and I had a fantastic surgical outcome

I had recent surgery with Dr Gantz. He was kind, considerate and very patient. Willing to spend time answering all questions and went out of his way to teach and explain the process. He was personal and very caring. Best of all were my results. I had been in terrible pain for years. 6 wks out of surgery and I feel fantastic. His office staff are also very professional and caring. I would recommend Dr Gantz to anyone needing neurological surgery.

His bedside manner with me was fine I like direct people. I had a fusion that worked some what for approx. a year. Then the old pain came back.He felt that I would be in good shape after the opperation. When I went back to his office to see him all I seen was staff in a lot of confusion. Very disappointed.

I had 1 procedure with Dr. Ganz, & his care was outstanding, both before, during & after surgery. I will have another procedure soon. I read the review about his 'bedside manner' -- My spouse & I have seen Ganz many times -he can be initially quite formal & down to business. We have learned though that has a wonderfully dry sense of humor & is very caring. He is just very precise & confident-deservedly so. My other drs rave about his technical skill & judgement. So if you want the best, he's it.

I found Dr. Ganz very abrupt and rude. His bedside manner could use improvement. He did not ask me questions or talk to me about any of my symptoms. He went solely from my MRI. Which I believe is half of the equation. He did not ask me any of the corrective measures that I had already taken to subside my pain. He went on to tell me what I haven't done or rather what he thought I hadn't done and what I needed to do, which in this case was things I had already done. I was very disappointed.
