Accessible and caring
I've been seeing Dr. Gillespie for several years now, and while I didn't have an immediate connection with him, I absolutely appreciate him and the genuine care that he has for his patients. I have never had a care provider who is more engaged and accesible than he. Like any primary care, getting an appointment can be a long wait. But Dr. Gillespie ensures that he is caring for patients so that even with these wait times, you aren't left without guidance or the help you need. Additionally, I appreciate that he collaborates on care decisions and provides education at a level that is most familiar to me.

Exceptional Dr.
Dr G listens, cares, and does not make me feel like I am cattle being ran through a processing center. He is honest, genuine, and very compassionate. He is very knowledgeable about both medications to help and diagnosing the issues.

Horrible Doctor
What stands out the most is that when you are in the most desperate need of a medical solution, he is no where to be found. When I say that, I mean he has no ideas, and when he does come up with a test to run, he can't explain why he thinks its needed. From that, I can only determine that he just loves the money that his tests bring in, but with no solution, that means he treats everyone like a customer instead of a person. He only thinks of $$$$.

Excellent Dr. Listens to his patients and comes up with a plan for them. Dr. Gillespie has been my primary doctor for over 10 years. If he is unable to treat your problem, he will send you to the right Dr. He is extremely knowledgeable about medicines and other doctors. He also has an excellent reputation here in Salem. Friendly and explains things in easy terms. Highly recommend.
