Doc Hamstra took my wife's case on from a late evening ER visit. Can't say enough positive things about him. Calm, confident, respectful and pure professional. 100% the person you want taking care of your loved ones in that OR. Not that we want to do it again, but if that was the case, Doc Hamstra will be our first call.

I have dealt with doctors and hospitals for 50 years. Two weeks ago I developed complications from a two week old abdominal emergency surgery that had been performed in Oregon. I was released, returned home, only to have the surgical site break open from an abscess. Dr Hamstra met me in the ED, took on my case and in short, he saved my life. I have never met a physician more concerned for his patients or that takes better care of his patients. You will not be in better hands, anywhere.

Dr Hamstra performed surgery on our son after his appendix ruptured. He took the time to walk is through the procedures, what could go wrong, and how they deal with it. He personally stayed engaged through the recovery and was always available to help us understand what was going on when we were concerned. Based on his skills, professionalism, and extraordinary character I would choose him for any procedure on anyone in my family or myself. He is what a Doctor should be.
