Beyond exceptional... Dr. Howe is beyond an exemplary Cardiologist. He successfully combines his skill, knowledge and training, with kindness, compassion and truth. I have known him for 14 years and he has been through 2 of my 3 open-heart valve surgeries, a brain bleed, chronic A-fib and several episodes of V-tach. He remembers my cardiac history well, and has always provided the best treatment for me. I don't think I will be able to replace him, when he leaves for his new life journey.

Dr. Howe has been my cardiologist for the past 12 + years. He is very professional, knowledgeable personable and trust worthy. I am very sorry to see him leave Tucson, as he is relocating to the Boston area. I will highly recommend him to his future patients.

I understand Dr Howe is leaving Northwest Cardiology. Does anyone know where he will practice?

No one in emergency room knew what was wrong. If they did not ask for Dr Howe's opinion I could have died. I have been seeing Dr Howe for years and find him to be a caring and knowledgeable physician.

Ridiculous waiting times and continued excuses unacceptable

This was my 2nd visit with Dr. Howe. He's caring and listens to your concerns. I have some test that need to be done, then I will have a follow up with him.

Dr Howe is a terrific cardiologist. I have been a patient for several years and he is very knowledgeable and helpful. He explains and listens well. Never feel rushed . He saw my mom too and when she passed he showed such compassion that made losing her easier.

Dr H... fantastic. He has cared for both my mum and dad for years. He is the real deal; extremely knowledgeable, professional but still treats his patients like they're people not a number. When my dad passed on unexpectedly he was so compassionate and understanding to my mum and I. I can only hope he'll take me when I need his talents.

He takes time to listen to his patients and explains things thoroughly in a manner that is easily understood by both fellow professionals and laypeople. He has an enormous heart and cares deeply for his patient’s well-being. He sees his patients from a holistic standpoint and makes recommendations that are attainable and within the patient’s best interest. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a cardiologist and an all-around fantastic doctor.

Dr Howe provides an efficient but not rushed office visit. He listens to any concerns and addresses them. He is a likable person as well.

For a year, my husband had on-going difficulties with vacillating blood pressure that resulted in dizziness and two hospital emergency room visits. After multiple tests and specialist visits, we were referred to Dr. William Howe who immediately honed in on a known issue that had been noted as unremarkable by other physicians. With one additional lab test, Dr. Howe’s suspected diagnosis was confirmed and a simple treatment implemented. After a year of increasing concerns my husband’s blood pressure is now stable. We are so thankful for the diagnosis, but we are also very impressed by characteristics that differentiate Dr. Howe: the confidence that he instills in his patients, his attention to detail, his intelligence and his very evident commitment to find a solution. After our first visit with Dr. Howe, my husband’s comment was simply, “Wow!”; no better word to describe Dr. Howe’s care!

First time there. Got me an appointment pretty quickly. Had student with him that day, Wyn, who was thorough and very professional. When Dr. Howe came in was very personable and seemed knowledgeable. Reception was great. Didn't wait long. Go back in for stress test soon. Left feeling better, and less stressed, than when I went int.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR. HE HAS NO "ON CALL" DOCTORS FOR AFTER HOURS HELP. HE OVER MEDICATED ME WITH A BETA BLOCKER AND WATER PILLS WHICH WAS TO CONTROL MY BLOOD PRESSURE SWINGS BUT INSTEAD DROVE MY PRESSURE TO THE LOW 90'S, HIGH 80"S. HIS OFFICE LOST THEIR RECORDS OF WHAT MEDICATIONS I WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE. TOOK TWO WEEK CHRISTMAS VACATION AND WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR ASSISTANCE OR HELP ACCORDING TO HIS MEDICAL ASSISTANT. THE LAST CALL I HAD WAS THE DAY HE LEFT. HIS MEDICAL ASSISTANT TEXTED HIM TO ASK WHAT TO DO SINCE BETA BLOCKERS AND WATER PILLS ARE USED TO DROP BLOOD PRESSURE. HE TOLD HER AS LONG AS I WAS FEELING OK STAY ON HIS PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS. WHEN I REVIEWED THESE WITH HIS ASSISTANT, SHE TOLD ME TO STAY ON A MEDICATION THAT THEY HAD ORDERED ME TO STOP TWO WEEKS EARLIER. SHE COULD NOT FIND HER RECORDS TO CONFIRM THIS ALTHOUGH I HAD WRITTEN THEIR STOP TAKE ORDER ON THE PRESCRIPTION BOTTLE. SHE SAID NO ONE BE AVAILABLE FOR ME TO CALL FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS.
