Highly recommend this thoracic surge
Intelligent and articulate doctor, ask him questions and he will give you straight answers. I was seeking a fifth opinion as I was not having any luck with other surgeons. He was very detailed in his explanations and I gave him my trust. Very happy I met him, he performed a flawless triple CABG only 4 days in the hospital and feeling fantastic 1 week later. If I was having any doubts he alleviated them. I would highly recommend to my own family.

No Manners
My husband underwent a double bypass surgery performed by Dr. Martinez. He initially went to the hospital due to shortness of breath. In the ER, after several tests, they discovered he had a heart attack and immediately put him on BiPAP. A heart catheterization revealed he had four blockages. Despite his difficulty breathing, Dr. Martinez persuaded him to have open heart surgery. After the surgery, while still in the hospital, my husband suffered a cardiac arrest. I was shocked to learn that Dr. Martinez did not allow a pulmonologist to evaluate my husband, even though he was on a ventilator. The nurse assured me that Dr. Martinez would manage the situation since it was heart-related. Tragically, my husband passed away four days later. This experience has led me to question Dr. Martinez's capability in handling such critical cases.

Dr Martinez is unqualified to do surgery any longer. Maybe when he was younger he was more qualified but now he has to be followed very closely and I wouldn't recommend him on the past performance. Very dangerous.

Without a doubt the best there is. Very kind, takes his time with his patients. Replaced my husband's aortic valve in July 2017, did a fantastic job all the way around. Would not hesitate to recommend. A-1, top doctor.
