Saved My Leg When I Was 15
When I was 15, I got run over by a FedEx delivery van on my bike. It dragged me 120 feet underneath, as my leg was caught in the bike I think.My tibia and fibula were both broken, my patellar tendon was snapped in half, and my knee cap was almost completely torn off.The paramedics said I was probably going to have my leg amputated. Fortunately for me, Dr. McCluskey had other plans. He cleaned and washed out my leg for 8 hours, so that it wouldn't get infected.I have always been grateful for him. I just saw that I had the ability to leave him a review. This was 22 years ago.I'll never forget, when I came out of surgery, my parents were standing above me. I asked, 'Do I have both my legs?' And when they said, 'Yes,' everything else was all good.I ran a 5k this Sunday and 1 mile the last two mornings. I coach soccer and used to play all the time. I'm so lucky, by the grace of God, Dr. McCluskey was my doctor that day. He is amazing, and I'll never forget him.
