Over the course of two years I have taken my grandmother twice for knee injections. She gets a shot and is walking great for about 8-12 months. Her swelling goes down, and she resumes the ability to climb three flights of stairs to her apartment. It works so much better than taking steroids and vastly different than a risky surgery for an elderly woman. I am thankful for the quick improvement too.

Dr. McWhorter saved me from having painful shoulder surgery with injections of ozone and PRP. I’m pain free and am working out again. Minimal cost, no recovery time and I feel great.

My experience was nothing short of amazing. He truly cares about his patients. He does not stick a band-aid on the issue, he truly gets to the root cause. I have felt better in the past year than I have in the past 10 years. I suffer from Graves disease and chronic fatigue. His natural solutions have been nothing short of life saving.

In one word...”AMAZING”. I came to Dr. McWhorter because I am battling cancer and wanted more than just simply chemo and radiation. The whole team has been caring and compassionate beyond any practice I have every visited. I feel more like a family member than a patient. Because of Dr. McWhorter and his team, I know I’m on the right track.

Dr McWhorter is the best! He has treated all my medical issues and gotten to the bottom of every issue without sending me on referrals to other people, like my previous doctor did. I love it that he takes care of me himself, and I'm doing much better now that I have a great doc. Thank you, Dr McWhorter! :-)

I saw Dr.McWhorter for pelvic pain and dryness. I have had 1 of 3 sessions of the DiVa vaginal laser. I am a young mother of two and did not realize how much I needed the vaginal laser. It has increased lubrication and made intimate moments less painful. I am excited to continue my treatments and see the end results. As of now my results have been nothing short of AMAZING. Dr.McWhorter and his staff are professional, personable, and caring.

When I went to him he did not even listen to me, I told him I had went to Pri-Med Monday & Tuesday and my white blood count was extremely high so I went to Dr. McWhorter on Wednesday and ask him to check my white blood count that it was extremely high but I did not hear back from him so I called back on Friday and when they looked at the results He called me back and told me he needed to send me to a specialist. I have cancer and he did not even bother to look at my blood work until I called

Dr. McWhorter and his staff are amazing. They access each patient's individual health needs and customize a wellness plan. Dr. McWhorter focuses on healing the mind and body by use of supplements and nutrition. In doing so, getting to the root of the problem rather than always writing prescriptions that simply mask the underlying issue. I am very thankful for the caring well trained staff at Alabama Functional Medicine. My autoimmune disease has been in remission for 3 years now.

I went in with a migraine and left with 80% improvement all in a short office visit. I didn't have to go to the Emergency room and get IV fluids and pain medicine. It was related to several factors and the causes were discussed in great detail , with much discussion on his part and mine (which is so rare). His knowledge on womens health, brain chemistry and general wellness surpasses all guidance I have received to date.

I have been with doc for 3 years now. I went because someone told me he was all about preventative. They were right. He has been patient with me and helped me figure out how to lose weight and be healthy when doing it. After trying different things, we agreed for him to he put me on the Ketogenic Diet with some good supplements. I have now lost 10 pounds in the first month. Hubby has lost 14 and adult son(who has autism) has lost 16. We have seen more clarity and focus in him. We <3 Doc.
