Total confidence!
Total knee replacement in Sept 2022. Dr Montgomery explained everything with options. Not as much pain as I had thought. PT went well both at home and at Apex PT. No pain now. He did a total knee replacement on my mother years before when she was 84 and she was walking in two weeks. I chose him because of her success. I had the same results. Excellent physician and caring staff.

Good, Bad and the Ugly
I had a knee replacement in 2005 and it went well. My knee is starting to buckle and I need to have a couple plastic parts added for support. Dr Montgomery wont be the surgeon because of my husband’s experience. He had a knee replacement almost a year ago and can’t bend his knee (at all). The hospital did not even make sure he could bend it before he was discharged. He is only 57 and was physically fit prior to the surgery. No health issues. We were told it’s due to scar tissue buildup. Absolutely NO follow-up when the in-home nurse and therapist advised Dr M. of issues. Dr M. dropped the ball and pretty much admitted it. His follow-up care was null and void. I thought when he prayed with us before surgery he cared. This is a major surgery. People need to know the surgeon and the staff care and will be there to assist (timely) after surgery as well. Time to retire if you no longer care…

Had knee replacement surgery 11/30/2022 and to this day, I still can not bend my knee. After the first week of surgery and staring PT, my knee would not bend during PT and the therapist would try to reach out to update the doctor and no response. They wanted me to try PT at a facility and for 4 weeks knee still wouldn't bend and no response from the doctor. I was told a manipulation would be needed and now a manipulation will not work. I don't think they really care about the patients after their replacements because it's been going on 4 months and I still haven't been able to bend my knee or get any help from Dr. Montgomery. Looking to find a different doctor.

Great doctor
Dr Montgomery has replaced my right knee twice. The first one lasted 19 years, which made me very happy. The surgery was even better in March of 2022. Highly recommended.

I had a total knee replacement in Feb. 2022 and am so pleased with the outcome. Dr. Montgomery and his staff were so kind and caring from the very beginning. He is such a humble man and took time to explain everything to me. I broke my hip in July 2021 and have a rod the entire length of my femur, so he had some challenges going into surgery for my knee replacement. I am very grateful he was available to do my surgery and highly recommend him.

I had knee replacement in July 2017. I'm still in pain and was recently advised to consider having it redone. I'm only 59 years old and I received the same line of "I'm.sorry we didn't achieve the expected outcome" & he tried to the me it was because of my rehab PT. He didn't take any responsibility. Very frustrating.

The staff at Dr Montgomery’s office is SO rude! They kept”transferring” me to talk to someone else and then they would hang up on me. They didn’t want to take the time to call and verify with my insurance. They were condescending and would talk over me when I tried to speak. I have never been treated so rude by a doctor’s office. Do NOT want to recommend this office!

I had a kneee replacement by Dr. Montgomery (who I thought from review was very good). I have never been out of pain. I went back following knee surgery a couple of times and his comment was that he was sorry we did not get the desired result. He has a very bad bedside manner and acts like he is the best doctor ever. I would not recommend him to anyone having a knee replacement. This is my second knee replacement so it's not as if I don't know what to expect afterwards.

TKR and Dr. Montgomery did a great job. Glad I found him. I'll be riding my bike and hiking within (6) months. Pain wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Should have done it sooner.

I had surgery in 2015, The pain level was very high and never got any better. When I went back for follow up he really showed no interest in finding the problem! All this time I was in pain following PT and pain never went away. I finally found a Doctor who cared and found out I was allergic to the contents of the new knee and the glue he used. I asked from the beginning if allergy could be what was wrong and he said NO NO NO !!!!!!!!! He did not care. I would not recommend he to any one.
