Topnotch Doc
Dr. O’Brien is incredibly competent as a surgeon. His bedside manner is also excellent. He’s meticulous in his explanations and listens intently. I’d place the well-being of family and friends in his hands without the slightest of reservations.

I called Dr. O'Brien for a second opinion on a health issue I am having. I had to wait almost a month to get into see him because I needed a late-day appointment so I wouldn't miss much work (yes, we work too, you know). The first appointment was canceled by the office due to the doctor having a surgery scheduled and they wanted me to come in earlier. I WORK. That's the reason why I schedule my appointments late-day and this was communicated ALL TIMES I spoke to them. I can understand this ONCE. I rescheduled. Two days before my second (rescheduled) appointment, I received ANOTHER message from the office that they were canceling my appointment and asked if I could come in earlier. After this second incident, I made the wise decision to not invest any more time with Dr. O'Brien or his office staff due to them not valuing MY time. I'm paying THEM and need my appointments when I need them. What would have happened if I chose him for my doctor and needed him in an emergency?

Dr O'Brien was my doctor when I was in the hospital. He was wonderful. He took the time to explain everything and patiently listened to my questions and provided answers. He understood that I was scared and reassured me all along the way. I couldn't ask for a better doctor.

Very unethical Dr. I had an ultrasound that he never found on clinical exam. Once he opened me up, he still placed mesh in me. When I returned to him twice, he blew me off and told me the problems I was complaing of were in my head.

I have seen Dr. Obrien several time for the same abdominal issues. Each time he has sent me home to "try a different approach". Each time saying the next time you come in we need to schedule surgery. Each time I travel hours to see him and he always says something completely different than before. Never fixing the problem and allowing the injury to become worse. I now have to find a new facility that can deal with the additional issues and the original injury.
