I'd give Dr Smith 10 Stars if I could! He literally gave me my life back, after having paroxysmal Afib for the past 10+ years and never knowing when it would trigger. From the office visits to the hospital ablation, I could not have had a better experience! My eternal gratitude to Dr Smith, Dr James Harper, and all their incredible Team at Novant Health.

I trusted Dr. Smith, he seemed very knowledgeable about my condition. He told me how Dangerous my condition to my life my condition was especially if I didn’t get the surgery I needed. He explained in detail the type of surgery he would be doing, he answered all questions, didn’t treat me like a number and when he did my surgery there was very little pain, scarring, and no complications.

I am seeing Dr. Smith in Sept. but so far have not been impressed with Cape Fear Heart in general. Been waiting for my monitor since 8/13 and meanwhile more meds have been added. (They dropped the ball) They have no idea how I am doing with these and no follow up. I opted to see Dr. Smith as I would have had to wait til end Oct. to see the other.

Dr Smith is the absolute best. He was recommended to me by Dr. Sorentino chief of cardiology in Durham NC years ago.Dr. Sorentino was moving to Georgia and highly recommend Dr Smith to be my new doctor. He has been my doctor for many years and will continue to be.

Dr Smith is very unprofessional! He treated me unjustly while I was in the hospital getting a emergency pacemaker! The worse surgeon ever! He looked at other avenues why my HR was so low and was for so long. Instead of finding out the real reasons I had to be rushed to emergency room. He Took it upon himself to seek other information about me without my permision before he would even do my surgery. The man has no compassion and should of never been a doctor!
