Not a patient oriented provider.
Went in for minor surgery today on my lower left eyelid. Very little anesthesia to be used to numb eyelid. I related to a nurse that I was looking at having a Heart Valve replacement in the future but a date had not been set. Once Dr. Thornton had that information, he came to me and said that in case of an emergency, this was not the proper facility because they didn't have all the equipment to deal with emergencies. I told him my Cartiologist had cleared me. His response was to cancel the surgery and told me to come back after the heart valve is replaced. He showed little or no regard for this patient or my Cardiologist's clearance. Choose another Doctor that is more patient oriented.
