Dr. Willie Lu, MD

Been with Dr Lu for several decades. He's very responsive and easy to work with. He's the only doctor I know where if your appointment is at 9:15, the door opens at 9:15 by Dr Lu and you are escorted to the exam room! Unheard of these days. He's very contentious about patient needs and the costs of care - including the cost of procedures and medications. I can trust that, if he recommends something, I should do it. His care is tailored to my specific health needs.

He rejected me as I just started Medicare, disappointed/Sad! I’ve been going to Dr. Lu for about 25 years, I like his bedside manner and feel he’s very thorough. I experienced all lot of loss, was emotional wreck his then receptionist no empathy, poor customer service, so I stopped going to the doctor. He replaced Mae,so I called for an appointment, he rejected me cuz I’ve just started Medicare. Very disappointed and makes very SAD. Looking for a new doctor that cares for their patients.

I called this doctor’s office on a referral, they confirmed they accepted new patients, confirmed they were in-network with my insurance and set up an appointment for routine annual visit with Dr. Lu for 5 weeks later. Two days prior to the appointment, the receptionist called to confirm the appointment and walked me thru office protocols. I asked what their office policy was and if there were any additional charges pertaining to new patients I needed to be aware of. After checking with the billing person who is also the office manager, the receptionist called to inform they were cancelling my appointment because they did not want to have any issues with insurance. I asked that the doctor or the office manager call me but no one called me back. There are several reviews online documenting similar experience with one review saying the doctor had said “he had issues with all insurance companies”

Dr. Lu was very attentive and his diagnosis was spot on. I would recommend Dr. Lu.

Dr. Lu is very thorough in his examination and explanation. You can ask him questions and he will give you a candid response. When I needed a shoulder specialist, he immediately texted the doctor for me. As soon as I got inside my car, I received a call from the specialist to set up an appointment. He is my kind of a doctor!

I've been going to Dr Lu for many, many years, he is an awesome, smart & very sharp and knows his stuff. I consider him a good friend. When it comes to my health, he calls it every time. He does not play games with you, he tells you straight up what the deal is, so if you don't like that go to someone else. He's always been there for me. I always follow his directions and he's never done me wrong. Please remember people doctors do not have a magic wand and they are human. Anyone who says anything negative about this man is LYING and or does not like the fact that maybe he told them something they did not like or want to hear. MOVE ON. Doctor Lu is a VERY SPECIAL PERSON. Wow he looks young for his age.

I love Dr. Lu! He always knows the answers to every question I bring him and he has such a sensible, common sense explanation. He has a very nice manner and is always respectful. I just feel very confident that he is an excellent physician and would recommend him to anyone. His office is no frills but they get you and out in in a timely manner.

Does not listen, miss diagnosis, argues with patient. Would not recommend.
