Very happy with Dr. Travassos for colonoscopy
I was originally scheduled with another doctor, but was switched last minute to Dr. Travassos. I was very happy with him however. He was very patient with all my question beforehand. I do colonoscopies without anesthesia, which most docs don't like, but he was fine with it and explained everything throughout the procedure. This was my fourth colonoscopy and I will certainly schedule with him next time.

Dr. Travassos asks all the right questions o understand what you are experiencing and feeling. He answers all your queries in plain terms. Definitely has your best interests at heart. His staff is wonderful.

Dr. Travassos is an excellent gastroenterologist. He always takes the time to carefully listen to the issues, sets up any diagnostic testing as soon as it’s available and offers whatever is necessary for treatment modalities. He is very knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and thorough. He has always been available whenever I needed him. I recommend him without reservation!

Excellent! Dr. Travassos was VERY thorough and friendly. He spent a lot of time with me and was very conversational, which is not normally the case with physicians. My first impression was very favorable. It gives me confidence moving forward with some unpleasant tests.

After seeing Dr. Travassos 4 or 5 times he told us that he would call, converse, and talk to the surgeon that operated on the stomach as she is still in extreme pain sometimes. We went back to the surgeon for a conversation follow up, only to be told that Dr. Travassos NEVER call him to discuss anything. But he took our money though didn’t he... ...and billed the insurance company also. Not good business. He never followed through or called his patient back. Just left her in pain.

Dr. Travassos does not listen at all. I think he would have liked a typed document with all of my symptoms in order of emergence and in chronological order. He simply cannot process multiple symptoms with imprecise characteristics or consistency. I'm awaiting tests, but he threw out 3 possible diagnoses but didn't explain his reasons, nor did he advise any particular diet. His less than helpful comment, "This could affect you the rest of your life." Really, doc? Gee, thanks.

I like him very much. He talks his time with you and answers questions I a way you can understand. The office staff is slow getting back to you. I called and told the girl that I needed a refil. She said I will have to to get the medical assistant. She was friendly. Although, I spent about 20 minutes on the phone and she said the medical assistant wasn't in yet. She asked if she could take a message and I told her again what I needed and she said oh, I could of done that.

The office staff was very unprofessional. I called in to cancel the appointment due to not feeling well ( cold symptoms). She said would charge 25 dollars service fee due to not calling in within 24 hours. How can I predict sickness within 24 hours? She was so unfriendly and said that you are sick, that is why you should come to see a doctor.....
