Dr. Winfried Hansen, MD

Dr. Hansen is an excellent doctor. He is thorough in his examinations and explains the procedures and testing being performed in detail. He is knowledgeable about his field and he does not hesitate to refer patients to specialists when needed. I have been a patient of Dr. Hansen’s for over 30 years and he has treated my family and friends for many years. In fact, he diagnosed a family friend with glaucoma and referred them to a specialist who performed a sight saving surgery. Highly recommend!

First impression: The front door of the office/house was filthy. The waiting room was neat and clean but the front office was a general mess, stacked with files and papers; the technology hadn't been updated in 30-35 years (e.g., a memory typewriter and an IBM Selectric typewriter - no computer in sight); the office staff were very pleasant and friendly; Dr. Hansen was okay but based on my first impressions I quickly decided I would need to get a second opinion. Has he kept up in his field???
