Not a good Dr
This guy is a terrible doctor. He has no empathy for his patient and makes no effort to get to the bottom of what's going on. If he can't figure out what it is he makes you feel like your condition is your fault. The absolute worst doctor I have ever seen

Rude and rushed unprofessional jerk
1st appointment he told me he was writing my PCM to get Xray done. My PCM never received anything next appt he assured me he sent the information and that he couldn't do anything for me. Now I am wondering why even have me make an appt. I am retired military and now I think it had something to do with knowing he could bill Tricare. 3rd and final appt went in with extreme pain from Raynaud's told he couldn't help me after making me make an appt and paying copay because I did not have a scheduled chest Xray appt yet. When I asked why did you even have me waste my time making and leaving work for this appointment he told me he didn't need my money and would give me my copay back. He then walked out and a nurse came in and said he wants you to do some blood work and I know that he only did that so he could keep my copay. I just read the write up he sent to my PCM he lied and said I was not visibly upset when I was in tears and had not filled my prescription for antibiotics which was a lie

Met with a Dr. Turkiewicz who admitted that he is does not have experience with Still's patients and recommended that I seek tertiary care in Richmond, VA I did thorough research and weighed out all my options. I decided this was not a route that I wanted to take and that I was quite content with the treatment I was currently using (Kineret for almost 2 years) At my next appointment, I had told Dr. Turkiewicz that I did not wish to proceed with the tertiary care and that I was quite content with how well the Kineret was helping to "control" my symptoms Dr. Turkiewicz said that my decision was perfectly fine and that it was best for me to continue with what I was comfortable with. He advise that I keep an open mind to it, should I change my decision down the road, and that he would refill my Kineret if I needed more Weeks later I reached back out to Dr. Turkiewicz for a refill of my Kineret and was denied because he said that I "MUST" acquire tertiary care and I "MUST" see an immuno

He is the worst doctor I have ever seen. He doesn’t listen or really check anything. Maybe he doesn’t want to be a doctor anymore- just collect money. I would give 0 stars if it were possible.

Upon entering the room to speak with a 19-year-old patient Dr T was attacking, did not allow for any explanation, spoke over the patient, and generally doubted the need for us to be in his office. Having left the room for the patient to disrobe and reenter, her advocate asked if he wanted her to be seen. The patient began to cry and he still acted in a sterile manner. The advocate’s voice was elevated to try to understand whether or not he understood he was the missing piece to a diagnosis and he said we could leave. Good riddance and BEWARE. He’s 24 years of experience must be only with three or four patients. Prior to walking into see this doctor for the first time, another patient was dismissed in the lobby for being late and the office staff Gossiped the entire time we were waiting at a audible level. Poorest representation of a medical community I have seen in my 50 years.

Dr Turkiewicz is very thorough if you allow him to do his job. He needs to ask you questions and you need to give him that opportunity. The first visit is fact gathering and investigative and because of that it can feel overwhelming. I have found the doctor to be extremely prepared for your visit on follow up and able to answer your questions and advise a treatment plan. Would recommend him highly.

I was a new patient a bit hesitant of starting with a new physician. Immediately I felt at ease and in good hands. Aside from his professional demeanor I could see a genuine concern for condition. I wasn't rushed, could see that he was taking notes as well as listening to me. The staff was very friendly and a kind nurse named Dana even helped me put my boots back on. I honestly wish I found Dr. T earlier. I look forward to more friendly positive visits.

Each visit the office has progressed frustrations. Dr. T seems hurried each visit and does most of the talking and doesn't ask many questions or seem willing to take time to discuss things in detail. Previously based on labs it was 'not enough evidence to make a diagnosis' and now after a knee surgery and synovitis diagnosis, suddenly it seems very clear that i have RA and he wants to me to begin a life long regiment of meds to treat. I doubt i will go back, not a fan of his approach.

seemed to've already seen, exmnd & determined everything about me &my treatment BEFORE I even entered. He glanced @my records, looked @my hands &ankles & sent me away. Said call back if your hands are red and swollen. I've had no less than FIVE drs and rheumatoligists diagnose me- one being the Mayor Clinic; yet from aprx 3 minutes of "examining" me he determined they were all wrong, MRIs, etc were wrong. I didn't "present" symptoms that day so I didn't have any med issue. -TWICE

I have had AS for well over 20 years now. I have seen many rheumatologists. Worst doctor I have ever been to. Each of those appointments were VERY costly. Had to travel 30 min to each apt. He led me on telling me i could get on Humira. He gave me coupons, brochures, and paperwork on it. He even had a rep call me to discuss cost. 3rd apt. he told me it wouldn't benefit me and he wanted to see me AGAIN to discuss other options. Spent less that 6 min in visit. Fake smile. Worst experience EVER!
