Successful spine fusion
I had a minimally invasive lumbar fusion with Dr. Saadeh in January for severe back and leg pain. I was really worried because I had always heard bad things about spine fusion, but I was in really bad pain and other treatments had not worked. The whole experience was much better than I expected, I went home the day after surgery and my pain was so much better after surgery, and by a few weeks after surgery I had no symptoms at all. Highly recommend Dr. Saadeh.

Very attentive to my concerns
Dr Saadeh helped me manage the expectations from my surgery regarding how long recovery would take and future limitations. This has helped reduce the stress of my return to normal activities.

Not recommended
I had nerve decompression surgery with him in March 2025. I went in with 170 degrees of shoulder flexion and abduction and came out with 20. I had absolutely no pain prior to the surgery but excruciating neuropathic pain after it. This surgery should never have been proposed or performed. Saadeh was evasive and reluctant in answering my questions prior to the surgery.

Sciatic nerve tumor
I saw Dr. Saadeh for a sciatic nerve tumor that was causing horrible pain in my leg I had seen 2 doctors before and they said they couldn't take it out it was too risky. Dr. Saadeh said he could remove it as soon as I was waking up I could tell my pain was gone it was the best I ever felt in years

Seek 2nd Opinion
After being told that I needed spine surgery, I was transferred to Dr. Saadeh after my surgeon left the health system. Despite my symptoms and MRI results, Dr. Saadeh told me that my spine “looked fantastic”. This was bewildering, and contrary to other spine surgeons thoughts. I ended up having successful spine surgery elsewhere.

I am very satisfied with the care Dr. Saadeh and his team gave me. I was nervous about having spine surgery but I could tell I was in caring and experienced hands. Dr. Saadeh took a lot of time to prepare me for what to expect and I really appreciated all his consistent follow up. Great spine surgeon

I had a great experience with Dr. Saadeh. He was the second neurosurgeon I sought out in trying to figure out why I had been feeling so much pain, and although I didn’t end up needing surgery, he helped me get a diagnosis and a non surgical treatment for my pain.

He never read my file before our visit. Acted unaware of all issues even though all issues were discussed with a PA prior to this visit. When put on the spot he started reviewing my images and out of no where clinched his fist like he was mad or frustrated. It's obvious he lacks real world practice and experience. I couldn't believe I drove 3 hours to see this kid, and can't believe the university of Michigan has him titled as Asst. Professor. He might be book smart, but definitely not the kind of person or surgeon I want working on me.
