Seemed good but Terrible
Seemed nice and respectful and seemed to do a good job on things initially but as time passed, he ignored significant symptoms I reported over and over again. This caused fairly severe complications, causing significant impairment and pain and suffering.

Great thorough doctor
I have been seeing Dr Chaichian for about 6 years for my autoimmune disease. He always takes the time to think critically through my diagnosis and works well with my other specialists to provide the best care for me. My appointments are never rushed and he is always prepared to discuss and explain my labs current condition with me.

Terrible doctor
Dr. Chaichian is a terrible doctor both knowledge wise and by his bedside manner. He diagnosed me wrong. He screamed at me for sharing my health information. He screamed:"you have so many things wrong with you". Saw him twice and hope never see him again in my life.

My care was transferred to him when my prior physician left. He had not reviewed my medical records before my appointment. He refused to see me in person and had a video visit with me while I was sitting inside Stanford Hospital (I traveled in from out-of-town). He contradicted my prior and current care. He is not flexible and will not coordinate care with other physicians you might be receiving treatment from at Stanford regardless of it being treatment for the same condition. Highly disappointed and would not recommend him.

Dr. Chiachian will explain anything to you as long as you ask, and will follow up with all forms of testing and checkup as needed. I am happy to have had him as my doctor for the last 5 years.
