Dr. Yee-Cheen Doung, MD

I have never felt so neglected and uncared for by a surgeon. I have seen her twice. I had a 10 minute pre-op appointment, where she made me feel completely rushed and like she couldn't wait to be done with me. She was callous and had awful bedside manner. Fast forward to my surgery, I see her for 20 seconds before my surgery and all she did was draw on my foot and then left. Completely ignored me. After my surgery, she called my husband and told him everything she did, despite me saying in my paperwork that I wanted to be told what happened and l wouldn't allow her to tell others. That was not okay. There's a reason I put that on the paperwork, and I felt so disrespected. She hasn't spoken to me once since my surgery and it's been 2 weeks. The only communication I had with her was through an MA and that communication was just as negative. I will never have surgery with her again. I feel like I don't matter and that's just not right.

I was only 27 at the time, and Dr Doung had to break the news to me that I had a bone infection. I had a 5 year old son and I was a single mother at the time. Throughout the course of the next 3 years I would undergo 4 full hip surgeries, 3 of which were done by Dr. Doung. She is amazing and her bedside manner is completely unique in the fact that she focuses on your progress. This woman saved my life and I never got to appropriately thank her and her staff for their time energy and service to the community. I am now a happily married mother of 1 teenage boy, as well as 3 stepsons who visit regularly. I know my life would never be this good if she hadn’t saved my life all starting in 2012. Thank you Dr. Doung!!! You’ll always have a place in my heart.

Incredible. I like doctors who tell it like it is. You cannot fight a medical issue without knowing what it is.
